Holy moly , I wish every motor I have worked on began as clean as that one looks like low hours. Not my luck most of the ones I get into looked like that old yz250 completely roached out or burnt. Question for uncle tony have you thought about becoming a instructor? The way you explain everything your doing and how it functions, very detailed and explained on ever step in layman’s terms easily understood. Thanks

Well Chuck, I’m not sure how to answer this…. I’m still learning and trying myself. I feel like I’m actually helping ALOT more people/riders this way, or at least the feedback states that, thanks to Charles for getting me to come out of the cave. I’m not much of a “sit at your desk, take notes and listen to my dumbass ramble for hours” kind of instructor. I’m more of a “hey dumbass listen up, let’s learn some stuff, talk some smack, and I’ll shoot flames under the door while you’re trying to poop” instructor…. With that said there’s a very interesting launch coming soon…

I was following along casually until you got to the clutch disassembly/education session on how it worked. That thing looked like a Swiss timepiece compared to the YZs I'm used to, and then you went on with how to tune it properly, like Antonio Stradivari tuning a Stradivarius violin. Much respect to what you guys are doing, this thing will be a work of art!

Glad to see Uncle Tony is on deck! He reminds me of a guy I was in the service with. He was half Filipino and funny as hell and I'm not sure Uncle Tony's heritage but Charles, spittin image! I think you’re referring to the 500 engine? It’s a BRC Racing “MY17” complete engine that drops right into 17+ KTM/ Husqy./ Gas Gas 250’s 📈🙌

Being a long time Rekluse user myself, I think Rekluse would appreciate people knowing that they don't exclusively produce auto clutches. I personally purchased the Core Manual TorqDrive clutch for my BRC YZM500X project. I believe it's the same clutch Tomac runs. Another great build video Charles.

Only way to find out is test all 3 500 dirtbikes on the dyno and the track and drag race to see if this gas gas can do what you say it can against the honda and kawasaki 500's

My question on comparison with 2T & 4T. If 2T 125 races 250 4T. A 250 2T races 450 4T. What does a 500 2T have to go up against a 900 4T or 950 4T? I want to see a build of a 9 or 950 4T? Is it possible?

The 56rwhp (at best) of the BRC isn't gonna beat "any cr500 or kx500" is a pretty bold statement my man. 😅 Check out Kaplan cycles KPR kx500 Hulkster bike. I'm not a fan of the rear fender & Kaplan said they're going to address it.

@mXrevival I like your channel & watch for the sweet builds. Get that bike dyno'd at a legit place & you'll see the chart you're given is bogus. Type in BRC & Kaplan Cycles & you'll see the REAL numbers & the poor tune that BRC supplies the efi bike with. The BRC tune is about 52rwhp if I remember correctly. Kaplan's guy (the manic mechanic) got it up to like 56hp with his own tune.

Haha! Truth be told it’s hard to title these-earlier-in-the-build videos. So I pick something catchy that also works as great keywords for the search engines… always a method! Interestingly enough, modern two strokes have gotten so great, but at the core are basically the same design idea, right? Two-stroke engine, carburetor, a frame and some wheels!
