@@RADGarage so glad I found your channel again sir! I used to be a subscriber a year or ago or so, then youtube deleted my account for no apparent reason. Forgot your channels name until my mate reccomended me one you vids 😂
@@RADGarage Glad to see that your videos can entertain people from all around the world Rick ! Watched it a second time this morning just to appreciate a little more my day-off and have some "reverse bubble party " lmao 👍👍👍 ! Stay RAD !
I have a lot of end-of-year wrap up work to do, so it is going to be a couple of weeks before the next upload, but then I am on break and you can't expect more RAD-ness!
I saw the notification for this video pop up while I was at work but I was too busy to watch it then. I’m glad I waited because after working all day, coming home and filming, and then yard work; this was the perfect way to finish the day off. Amazing work as always Rick. We appreciate the time and effort you put into your videos.
Beautiful vehicle with outstanding results. Your videos are mini cinematic creations! (I just detailed and ceramic coated my Sister’s 2019 X3; used Gyeon Q2 Leather.) this X5 is an awesome machine.
I was very impressed with the level of refinement of this particular X5. It really is a luxurious vehicle with some killer design elements. It came out nice. Thanks for watching.
I have little experience with roof liners. Years ago, I purchased a Tornador cleaning gun for such occasions, but I think I have used it twice in the past 7 or 8 years.
Be sure to check out the artist links in the description and give them all some love. They are very generous in allowing me to use their music in my work so I love it when my viewers give them the support and love they deserve!
Owning a white care myself I know that it doesn’t get the reflective shine like the dark colours, but it still gives a certain lustre that shows it’s been pampered. Awesome presentation as always!
RAD, indeed. I have a new X5 that, after the snow and rough weather we’ve had of late, is in desperate need of a deep clean. Wish I was local for you to work your magic.
I wish you were local too! This one will be back in for a full paint correction/polish/coating in the Spring so you can live somewhat vicariously through that project!
One thing that’s sure, you could be a detailing teacher! Btw those green towels from detail popo works amazing on glass. Glad I’m not the only one using them for this!
My goodness you are the man very meticulous and on point awesome job also your visuals are good something about white cars being detailed it's probably because I have a white 2017 Lexus GS 350 f sport so my interest goes towards White detailed cars keep up the good work and the music is not overbearing which is a plus 👍💪😁🇺🇲☀️
I've come around to white cars. Not as rewarding as some other colours, but something very satisfying as well. Thanks for watching and enjoying what I do.
Yes, the majority of the.vehicles I see have some level of PPF on them. It makes a lot of sense in this city with the copious amounts of gravel the City dumps on the roads in the name of winter traction.
Phenomenal work both in the detail and cinema..... have you considered selling these videos to owners of exotics.... it you went into photography and video making youd be greatly successful. Ex, filming weddings, commercials, events ect. Amazing
Great job on the detail as usual!! Absolutely love the car. Beautiful! And the camera work and audio are perfect! Makes for a relaxing video! Thanks so much!
I find spending hours on a detail really allows me to gain an appreciation for the design and engineering of a vehicle. The X5 impressed me. I try to convey all of that in my videos.
Hey Rick. Canadian winters eh! They really do a number of a car, but that transformative detail makes that final result all the more satisfying. Love your channel my friend. 👍🏻
I'm here Rick and i'm speechless. Awesome job, entire video was delightfull to watch...and Saturday my black pearl Kia will be under water pressure with my new products and offcourse after you will get pictures on mail. Actually my plan is to build a garage with the latest tools and accesories...because watching you and your weekend job is joy and pure happiness. And ...I love it,make me happy. Your buddy and fanatic viewer....Marius!!!
Another great one Rick. I love that little trick with the center caps on the bearings so they always sit upright. I see BMW took their own idea from their sister sister brand Rolls Royce. It's the small things........ How is that Lithium Double Tap Shampoo? I've had my eye on that one to try out.
I think this is the first time I've seen Tuxmats on video, I'd only ever seen them in pictures. What was your initial impression of their quality? As always, another awesome video. Thanks!
I feel like they are very well made and engineered. I saw ZERO signs of wear so they seem very durable if they can survive a Calgary winter and still look brand new when cleaned up. They fit the floor of the car perfectly. I get why people like them, but like I have said, I prefer the look of OEM mats.
That’s detailing at it’s finest. Minty green 320 popo towels my favourite and the popo drying towel perfect size I like how you only need one towel to dry the car. Excellent video Rick. How did you like the double tap? 👍🏻👍🏻🇨🇦
The 320 Popo's are so versatile and satisfying to work with. That 40x60 Twisted Rain drying towel is a marvel of modern science! The Double Tap is my favourite soap at the moment. It is just so good.
Another Rad detail! Nice job Rick , did you like the Tuxmat mats? I use p&s interior cleaner on them .Just wondering if you know of a prodict that I can apply that will keep them shiny black but not slippery ? Thx Rick.
I love the frothy cleaning power and finish of Adam’s Rubber Mat & Liner Cleaner but I find freshly clean non-rubber mats slippery no matter what. I like the idea, but I’m still partial to OEM carpet mats in the summer and OEM rubber mats in the winter.
hello Rick once again perfect work, and I haven't seen you doing an interior for a long time, videography of the best top song I can only say 👌It's RAD project 💯🇵🇹
Late to this one, but I'm here. Looks fantastic. I think you need to start handing out RAD swag at the parent teacher interviews. Smash that like button, hit the bell and subscribe. Soccer moms and dads need something to watch if the game is boring. Keep up the awesome work bud!
Since we live in totaly different time zones I get to watch this in the middle of the night after the late shift. Christmas in June? ;) Your vids never dissapoint me. The footage and the editing is something very special! Thanks for all the fantastic inspiration.
Topper is my go to I think resist might last a little longer but the price point of topper and the results you get is awesome plus the guys behind the brand Xtreme Solutions are some of the best to work with
I just finished using Topper for the first time on a quick 4-hour mid-week wash. I loved it. I am not going to pick a winner between Resist and Topper, but Topper is so silky smooth and easy to apply that it may just see a lot more action in my garage! I loved Resist too. I hate doing comparisons. I'm just not good at it!
It did look nice, but honestly, the Adam's Mega Foam had very little "bite" and I had to really work hard during the contact wash. I don't think the foam did anything on this particular project.
@@RADGarage Hope your students appreciate what a cool 😎 teacher they have. Epic video as always. Looking forward to the next one already. Keep up the fabulous work 👍👍👍
@@RADGarage We looked at all the premium SUV’s when shopping for my wife’s 2018 SQ5. The BMW’s were disappointing. The Porsche Macan S was nice but $12k more. Obviously we went with the SQ5. My 2021 Q8 is outstanding but boy is it big. I love detailing the cars but the Q8 is a beast because it’s so wide. Anyway…good luck next season to your Flames. If my Pens and the Flames can meet in the Cup finals next season, how about the loser details the winners car? Might be the only time I would cheer for another team…Naha…Always cheer for the Pens! Love the channel and keep up the great work
I have been drooling over Macans for a while now. I think that will be the direction I head next. Until then, I am 100% satisfied with my current ride. It just ticks all the boxes for me.
I am pretty good at keeping track of where and how I spend my time. The numbers I share in the videos is my very best estimate of time spent on the actual detailing work. For every hour of detailing, I add 15-20 minutes of camera work.
i saw his bmw badge on the wheel moved while ur hosing it down... its a common thing for the beemers??? or was it just loose? looks like one of them fidget spinners or wheel spinner :)
They certainly do an amazing job of protecting the floors. The only "soft" spot in the protection is around the accelerator pedal, but not much you can do there. Personally, I like OEM mats, but I can definitely see why people go this route.
Amazing! Another great video. Scared the sh!t out of me at the start. I was just starting to relax with the music and you dropped into frame on your seat. 🤣 Out of curiosity what did you feed the leather with after you cleaned the steering wheel with Gyeons leather cleaner? Or does that clean and dress?
Can’t say I share your view. While it may be manufactured in the US, it’s all German engineering...in the same way that Apple products are US engineered, but manufactured in China. No one can ever say that a Chinese engineered phone is better than an Iphone
@@markrgritchie IPhone are overrated just like a X5 that's made in America. No matter how good you think it's engineered, if you can't put it together right then you'll get a crappy product. X5 are for people who want you to think they are driving a German car but in reality it's made in America.
