Could this be done with the 2953-20 impact driver, if so what parts are needed?

It can, but you have to modify the anvil in addition to widening the opening in the snout of the driver. I did a 3/8 conversion.

So I can swap my m18 gen 3 1/4” impact to a 3/8” impact and only need a 3/8 anvil? I am very interested in doing it as I have a smaller 1/4” driver that suffices for 1/4” duties I have the 1/2” impact but I don’t have a 3/8 impact and feel that the gen 3 1/4” is a beast to much for 1/4” bits.

The m12 impact driver isn't called a Stubby only the impact wrenches are called Stubbies bro we all make mistakes though @Man Caver Tools

AM I the only one that think all these rolling storage units are dumb?? You first have to stack and unstack them to get to your tools. Quite a lot of efforts to lift and unlift the HEAVY packed chests. WHY NOT just invent a rolling metal or plastic cabinets/storage units with drawers. I will never buy the FLEX or any other mfg's cuz it's DUMB!!!

Do you actually use them? Makes transporting all my tools a lot easier. I don’t have enough money to make my truck a storage unit. I separate them then I load the bottom then stack all the ones on top. Sure, could use different tool boxes that I’d have to lug around, but then I couldn’t just roll them around easiky
