'ESTEE', our mini, red, party dress was worked in 7 main parts for a size 6-8 individual.
Stitches used were:
🧶 Hdc
🧶 Sc in blo
🧶 Mesh pattern
🧶 FpBpDc
🧶Part 1: We worked the bra cups.
🧶Part 2: We worked down front (only) about 3 rows of sc joining the two cups.
🧶Part 3: We worked the mesh pattern to cover the belly region
🧶Part 4: We added the required number of chains to work the hip region which started out with about 3 rows of fpbpdc before working hdcs the rest of the way. edged the arm holes and neckline with two rows of sc each.
🧶 Part 5: We created strings using sc stitches to be tied around the neck and then around the back. (The strings around the back will be using the mesh edges as loops).
🧶 Part 6: We edged the entire upper part of the dress in sc. (See video for directions)
🧶 Part 7: We edged the base of the dress in chains and sc.
Body measurements required to work this dress are:
✔️ Bra Cups
✔️ Waist (Lower abdomen)
✔️ Hip
✔️ Desired dress length
Very easy to follow for intermediate and advanced Crochet skill levels.
Note that this same technique can be replicated for any size just by adjusting the measurements.
