The M2 will launch simultaneously with its polar-opposite, the XM. You can watch my 2023 XM tour here: ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-Z0OVRXnR-6w.html
The exterior styling just makes it look cheap for me somehow. Like it's a GTA5 knockoff car where they changed juuuuust enough from an actual BMW to not get sued.
I'm in Canada. I currently have a 2019 RS3. Unfortunately the 2023 RS3 is not available here therefore I'm probably going to purchase an M2 with the 6 speed manual and the moon roof. You gotta love the manual. 😊
Love the design myself. The M340s which I’ve started seeing in Sydney look mean enough and this takes it to an appropriate next level. Any colour except that baby blue please!
I’m not a fan of black cars normally, but I think I’d go for black here, the silver wheels, and the cognac tan leather. Plus manual gearbox. I’d also be the sicko that de-specs the carbon roof for a sunroof, though…
You lost me at gauge cluster. That idrive8 M gauge graphic reminds me of a bonus car you got on ps1 need for speed where they ran out of ram to design a proper dash for it. You’d almost have to buy an auto so you don’t have to look at the rev counter
Wtf is with the obsession with having full width tv screens/displays on the dashboard.... such a visual intrusion.....your'e meant to be looking out the windscreen enjoying the drive...
Don't mind the body lines but the grill head and taillights are a no for me, I guess they're trying too hard to move out of their comfort zone with design like the i30N and other similar things on the market at the moment.
Sorry the internet dropped out while typing my original comment - I'll try again. The review is very good. I have seen this car - it has excellent finish inside, terrific performance etc but I do not like the exterior shape nor the range of colours. It is not as good looking as the previous model (I have owned one).
Well done, BMW, for allowing one of the few cool cars left in your roster to be beaten with an ugly stick: you're next M5! The only drastic changes the M2 needed was the interior; gone is that sexy bulbous booty and bulldog stance of the OG. Did KIA strip some of BMW's soul when their engineers and designers were poached? I have NFI but this M2 is an abomination, in my opinion of course.
What a buzz kill… the previous body style was one of the best looking coupes period. This thing looks like it was carved out of a brick of cheese. Hopefully performance makes up for appearance…
current M3/4 and now M2 just too overweight.. they're relying on stiff suspension and fat tyres to mask those kilos..... for a fun manual RWD, i'd save over half the price for a GR86/BRZ
The M2 is impressive. Maybe my last manual...at 62 I've never owned an auto. But, there is always a but, the drive away price is OMG! I've gone with the 230i and "saved" nearly $50k. Sydney to Canberra should melt away and Sydney to Gold Coast via New England Highway should be fun. Now it's a waiting game until delivery. The "sweet spot" indeed.
We’ll see. The old one was actually a bit skittish at times (as in - not really on the ground properly at the rear end) so this could solve that issue.
@@chasingcars adding weight to a problem ain't smart engineering solution.... never saw F1 designer solving handling issues by adding more weight to the car
The new design looks Japanese. It’s not in itself an insult but I’m just not into the design language of BMW lately. They were my favorite brand but not anymore with their new design language
