Use a white bucket that fits a grit guard (or an orange bucket from a DIY shop as an alternative) for the rinse bucket, so as/when the rinse water gets too dirty, empty it and refill with clean water again. Using a black bucket makes it too hard to check that. Also, use something to agitate the mitt when rinsing it. I went cheap and use a child's hard plastic tennis racket as a wash board, which does the job. If using same coloured buckets for both wash & rinse, write "wash" and "rinse" on them in permanent marker, so you don't get them mixed up, as the rinse one fills with foam. Some recommend a 3rd bucket for the wheels. Personally I use either a dedicated wheel cleaner and a separate brush and sponge, or fill a small spray bottle with car wash and water, and spray on, before agitating the dirt and then rinsing with the hose. (saves on carrying a 3rd bucket of water for just the wheels :-) ) Great set of vids though. Subbed :-)
I have a 2014 Focus RS. Black Beast. And i wash it every week. I do use two buckets method but even when i wash other cars i use one bucket and i never ever in my life have i scratched a car. To me i feel it is like a paranoia for others with these scratches. You will never scratch your car if you have focused on the jab you are doing. If you are dumb enough to wash a hood, than tires than doors and rims whit the same exact wash mitt, than you have to consider that maybe washing cars is not for you.
I need help learning how to wash cars effectively I think my issues is that in lingering the soap on the car too long before the rinse. I'm gonna try to have one bucket of soap to wash one sidebthen quickly rinse with the other bucket before moving on to the next side. Thank you for your kind video and explanations!!
A friend of mine who owns a detailing business uses a large plastic barrels filled with water and car soap. He said that by using this method the dirt falls to the bottom and the wash mitt never touches the dirt. He only services high end cars.
I don't use the two bucket, just be careful and don't dunk all the way down. But this varies on vehicle, my car is generally kept spotless. If yours gets filthy often, then use the two buckets. Great vid mate. Looking forward to your next video
Nice vid, I use the one bucket method to rinse the mitt and a bottle of car soap to load up the mitt again with soap. Saves in soap and you are only rinsing the mitt in the bucket 👍👍👍 obviously with grit guard and wash board in the rinse bucket 👍👍👍👍👍
