I just love my ancient fairytale path. Travelers lost so many things in the course of the centuries as it was an important and busy route. Detecting there is very exciting because the next find could be treasure.

@TerraGermaniaTG happy to throw in a comment. A rainsuit is how motorcyclists deal with the rain. If you don't over exert and get hot they are fine.

We lived in Ravolzhausen when the DM changed to Euro. My brother and I had a job putting pamphlets explaining how things would go during the changes. I never knew how big the town was until we were done. Found streets I never knew existed. Boy were our legs sore.

Hiya Hans, it's so good to see you and your fine collection of bottle caps. Hahahaha.... dont feel bad about those digs that dont go as planned. They still educate us. The ring was very interesting...it is costume jewelry, like a halloween costume....not custom. I hope that helps. My personal favorite was the silver button, beautiful! The "horse bridle decoration, "we would call that a "bridle rosette", is made from a metal we call "Tombac", which indicates it is from the 1700s.
