Its not hard to see all of the evil and hatred in this country. People can't enjoy a good night at an outdoor concert, kids can't go to school, people can't go to work, none of these things and so many other things can't be done now without having to worry about being shot and killed.

I mistakenly went across the border in my 18 wheeler looking for a truck wash. When I realized that I was going in to Canada it was to late for me to turn around. I think there are a lot of reasons for this, and I'm not a psychologist, but my guess is that a lot of it has to do with the Internet, social media and how it has isolated people from real human interaction. I also think that because people can say and do anything online without consequences, they 'forget' that the real world doesn't work like that. In the "old days" the ignorant people would spout off to someone, and typically be ignored. At work, school, a store, church, wherever, you could tell the ignorant ones whenever they opened their mouth. Now, everyone gets to share their opinion online, and gets instant validation in the form of Likes and Thumbs Up. Further, they don't face ANY consequences from sharing their ignorant opinion, which they interpret as confirmation. They feel they are right. And for decades now, so many ignorant people have been spewing nonsense online and believe they are right. Free speech is great, but sometimes people need to be called out on their nonsense, and that's nearly impossible to do online, where everyone has a voice and your comments are shared with the world. Before social media and the Internet, people had more common sense and could immediately detect if you knew what you're talking about or not. And if you didn't, all you had to do is walk away or ignore the person. Now, everyone gets a voice, even the ignorant ones! Scary! So you get emboldened, ignorant people full of rage, going out into the real world and... well.. following an elderly gentleman and killing him in cold blood.

She felt so powerful, so vindicated, so Alive in that moment. It was, briefly, the best thing that had ever happened to her. But then reality crashed in, she saw the look in the eyes of the officers who arrested her, the judge, the other inmates, even her attorney. They don't get it. And worst of all, she is going to prison, the number of years is the only thing to be decided. She is sooooooo sorry now. But only because it didn't play out as it did in her head. If it had, she'd have done it daily.
@@kay1364 she was given additional charges so her bond was revoked...i dont think the trial has been scheduled...or atleast I can't find anything online...I'd guess before the end of the year...but that depends on how the attorneys on both side file....there could be delays but i doubt it since Hannah Payne's bail was revoked and she's in jail jail...

This reaction, and the fact that she told officers on the scene that the man "shot himself with her gun", is telling. Both of these things indicate she is telling a story of a struggle for the gun that resulted in the weapon discharging. Two things are wrong with that story. Five witnesses didn't see the struggle. So either it didn't happen or you shot him so early in the struggle that you pulled the trigger yourself. Whew. The detective speaks clearly and concisely. The attorney is confusing, changing words and direction of query in the middle of her phrases, repeatedly. Thank goodness, the detective understood the direction of the line of questioning. This video is confusing to someone who is not familiar with the situation.

Karen follows an old man, having a medical incident after a car accident. That had nothing to do with her. Swings her car in front of his, blocking him in and the rest of the traffic. Gets out of her car. Goes up to him and starts punching him in the face through his window, while shouting obscenities, then pulls out her gun and murders him. That sounds like minimum actual life in prison or capitol punishment.
I have met professionals with years of experience with 1/2 the confidence, arrogance, and entitlement that this woman had to have, thinking she could disregard all instructions and do whatever she felt fit to do, including the intension to take the life of a human, based on her own thoughts and judgment. It might be possible that the victim accidentally caused the shot, but the intension she had was already to stop, to terminate, to kill that person otherwise, she would have never gotten out of her vehicle with a gun. Just baffling.
The victim wasn't allowed to leave the accident, he was instructed to sit in his car and wait for assistance by the off duty corrections officer. The victim drove away disoriented and the murderer took it as he was evading responsibility for the accident he caused and chased him down which led to her falsely imprisoning him, assaulting him, brandishing a weapon, spewing terroristic threats, murdering him, lying to the 911 operator that he shot himself, obstructed justice by change her shirt she used in her murder and providing false statement to police officers.

@@micahescala2184 I understand what you're saying, I just disagree. The victim should have never left the scene, not because of the accident and how minor it was, but because of his state of mind. He couldn't understand what happened and was visibly disoriented. That's no condition for him to drive in especially when he just caused an accident. He should have stayed put and waited on assistance for his safety and others. Not to mention, a corrections officer does not have jurisdiction over a citizen outside of the compounds of the jail/prison he/she works at even though he is a form of law enforcement. It's clear, that the victim did not knowingly or intentionally attempt to evade his responsibility of the initial accident, he was experiencing a medical emergency and as a result he was disoriented and unaware of the accident he caused. I never seen a criminal wait around at a crime scene for 15 to 20 minutes (sarcasm). His actions that day was not malicious or intentionally reckless, it was a health emergency that accidentally resulted in a car accident. But the actions subsceding the initial accident was 100% this murderer's fault.

Any citizen getting involved with other citizens that have not assaulted them in any way needs to always be at fault. If you are not law enforcement you do not need to asset law enforcement in any way.
I have never seen a defense attorney who failed to object to testimony such as the detective witness. He explained what the 911 operator said to the defendants to, what the witnesses saw,, what other police officers said. This should never be allowed.

I don't understand why she just doesn't plead guilty to avoid the death penalty in exchange for life imprisonment. In an article the lawyer calls her a "good Samaritan" and says "she got confused" about the instructions the operator was giving her. She didn't get no confused. She was just being herself. Privileged and entitled. On another thought, I like how lawyers just mosey along not paying attention to the "emotional" state of defendants. Like, her lawyer is just ignoring her. That's an intriguing attitude to have. I wish I had it. Cold and indifferent.
This is a great example of modern human beings inability to perceive the world around them through motion. The woman believes she has witnessed a hit and run and takes it upon herself to pursue the person she believes is guilty of wrong doing. She fails to consider the cause of the accident or the potential causes as to why the person is leaving the scene. This failure to consider cause will have great consequences on her life but it speaks to the broader perception of human beings. People see results devoid of what produces them and draw conclusions that make events what they want them to be. This propensity has consequences for everyone.

The prosecutor keeps asking the cop, "Did Mr. Herring ever hit her or have a weapon of his own"? WTF? If he did knock the chyt out of her, wouldn't he have been in his right to protect himself? If he had knocked the chyt out of her, he would be alive today ...
Here are the facts: 1. Kenneth Herring was involved in an accident where he ran a red light, struck another vehicle, and came to a complete stop. 2. Hannah Payne witnessed the accident, but was not personally involved. 3. A police officer responded to the accident and observed that Mr. Herring had exited his vehicle (Mr. Herring was circling around his vehicle several times in a state of complete confusion). According to the police officer, Mr. Herring appeared to be experiencing some kind of a medical emergency. (Mr. Herring's eyes, speech, and mannerisms were symptomatic of diabetic shock.) 4. Mr. Herring remained at the scene of the accident for approximately 15-20 minutes. Seeing that Mr. Herring was under duress, the police officer told him to sit in his vehicle. 5. For reasons unknown (possibly due to being in a state of complete confusion), Mr. Herring drove off. Again, this is after remaining at the scene for 15-20 minutes, and experiencing what appeared to be a medical emergency. 6. The police officer was not in a position where he could see Mr. Herring's license plate. It's unclear whether or not the officer had already identified Mr. Herring at this point, or if he was tending to the driver of the other vehicle, or if he was directing traffic around the accident. 7. As Mr. Herring drove away, the police officer requested for Ms. Payne to get the license plate number of Mr. Herring's vehicle. It's unclear whether or not the police officer intended for her to get it by chasing after Mr. Herring in her own vehicle, or if the police officer simply meant for her to stay where she was and try to get the plate info from her position as Mr. Herring drove off. 8. Ms. Payne chased after Mr. Herring for approximately one mile where she maneuvered her vehicle in front of his and forced him to stop. 9. At the same time Ms. Payne chased after Mr. Herring, she was on the phone with 911. The 911 dispatcher repeatedly told her not to chase after Mr. Herring and to return to the scene of the accident. Ms. Payne verbally refused to adhere to instructions given by the 911 dispatcher. 10. Once she boxed in Mr. Herring's vehicle, Ms. Payne brandished a loaded gun and exited her own vehicle. She approached Mr. Herring's vehicle and ordered him to get out, threatening to shoot him if he didn't comply. 11. Ms. Payne proceeded to punch Mr. Herring multiple times through his vehicle window with her left hand while she held the gun in her right hand. 12. From this RU-vid video, it is unclear when Ms. Payne fired the weapon. The prosecutor's line of questioning was so poorly constructed, we have no idea if Mr. Herring exited his vehicle, or if Ms. Payne shot him through his car window. Comments: this is a clear case of vigilantism. It appears Ms. Payne went into 'Karen mode' and thought she was entitled to enforce the law without any training or credentials. It also appears her weapon gave her a false sense of superiority. (This is precisely why people carrying guns should be required to receive training before being permitted to carry a firearm.) What is not clear, but assumed and debated/argued by a lot of people in this comment section, is whether or not this is a case of racism. I don't know Ms. Payne, so I have no way of knowing how she feels about people of color. However, judging by her actions, I would say Ms. Payne is a complete fucking idiot with deep-seeded insecurity/inferiority issues, and as such, she'll jump at any chance to place herself in a position she believes the situation makes her superior to others. I can't rule out the possibility that Mr. Herring's race played a role in Ms. Payne's poor decision making process; but up to this point there have been no character assessments presented to back up those claims. I suspect the same thing would have happened if Mr. Herring was a white male, and here's why: Ms. Payne displays signs of narcissism. If her lack of empathy in the courtroom isn't apparent enough, her defiance when on the phone with 911 while she pursued Mr. Herring is blatant. She thought she knew better than a trained professional, and she wasn't going to listen to anyone she believed was inferior to her. I've seen this type of behavior with many people (though typically in debates and arguments, never to the point of actually killing someone). In cases like this, the person is so hell-bent on being right, or being in control, all rationale is vacated. It's common with narcissists. In Hannah Payne's case, she let her arrogance rule over all common sense, killing a man without due cause. I suspect this fool was on a narcissist high the moment the police officer told her to get Mr. Herring's license plate number. It's hard to feel sorry for people like this because they only care about themselves; however, when you think about why people have narcissistic tendencies (deep insecurity issues), it's a little easier to feel some pity for them. But after taking a man's life for no reason, the only pity I feel for Hannah Payne is that she's too fucking stupid to know when to back off. I have a feeling this behavior will get her in plenty of trouble while she serves time. Until a full character assessment has been made, and it's determined that Ms. Payne is racist, I'm not going to jump to that conclusion. It doesn't help. The irony in accusing people you don't know of racism, where you make assumptions about a person based solely on the color of their skin (and the skin of the person they assaulted/injured/killed), is that you are actually racist. It's as if you want everyone else to be racist, too, to justify your own behavior. If ending racism is really so important to you, work on ways unify people of different races. Stop contributing to the polarization of this country (the US). Stop jumping to conclusions simply because it fits the narrative you enjoy pushing, and instead focus on the facts.

You said you don't think racism played a part, that if the victim was white she would've done the same thing, and that you'll explain why. Then you proceeded to spew pure rubbish, talking about her disregard for the 911 operators advise is your proof that she doesn't care what race it is...like what? That's one of the dumbest excuses I've ever heard. It's like you're so desperate to convince folks that it had nothing to do with race. When George Zimmerman ignored the 911 operators advise after calling 911 just based on the fact that Trayvon was black with a hoodie on, was that proof that it had nothing to do with race? Pure stupidity you showcased with that nonsense comment. I think it has everything to do with race, why? Because the same thing keeps happening over and over again. This is basically George Zimmerman all over again. You mean to tell me that if that was an elderly white man that she would pull a gun on him and do everything she did to mr Herring? Well then show me one example? Show me your example of this case involving an elderly white man and a young white woman. Show me anything remotely similar to this that works as an example of what you're talking about. I know you can't show me anything because it doesn't exist, it doesn't happen.
