What a dark story, yet still told in such a beautiful way! This is surely something to be proud of!

Why do suits always look good on ponies or is that just me?

This just goes to show you that sometimes, even your closest friends can be the suspect/villain/murderer in a case/crime.

thats the *one* thing i've always wondered in movies/series that have standoffs... why not shoot them the *instant* they aren't focusing on you? (Bonus points if the bad guy is monologue-ing and the main character is acting like they can't do anything)

I won't lie, this video is probably the perfect MLP SFM for that song. I literally discovered that song on a TF2 micspam server and when I sat down and listened to it outside of game, I instantly felt a noir feel going from it. A real femme fatale tale. And this video is the perfect example of storytelling through song and atmosphere. You don't need to know the MLP fandom or nothing to know that Lyra and Bon-Bon were in love, the profession and mood of Lyra's character was somber, cold, and mournful as many people that lose loved ones can be. Especially cops. And the detective noir genre captures this dark mood of the song and characterization well. Honestly, Lyra and Colgate are my favorite background ponies and it's so rare we get to see either of them get any love/large attention and are so rarely together, this touches the heart in such a real way. Thank you!

I love the “I don’t wanna set the world on fire” it reminds me of fallout!

Teleporting models to the location you want them to be without making a new scene in SFM is only good when you disable Jiggle Bones before rendering and remove the "sudden jiggling" that happens due to position changes. Teleporting also helps getting rid of these weird things where eyes aren't fully closed as example when the scene starts.

Woooow this animation is so amazing!!! So realistic, so well animated! The facial expressions, the movements, everything! Also I love the level of detail, like coffee mug stains on one of the sheets pinned on the wall! And interesting story, that was quite cool :D Amazing work all around! Also I didn't know you had a RU-vid channel! W00T!

Not an ounce of hesitation, and with that picture next to her, I’m not sure what Colgate expected from Lyra. Great animation by the way, and I point out the lack of hesitation because I love it.

This is a really wonderful animation but if I could give one tip for the future. Start the scene a few seconds in advance before recording in order to let the physics settle down. In a lot of the scene changes you see Lyra's ears flop around in the first second or so because the physics went from default position to natural position and it caused quite a lot of bounce. The quick and dirty way to do it is to record the whole thing with a few seconds of no movement at the beginning, then in premiere or whatever you use to put everything together, cut out those two seconds at the beginning of each clip.

The end was nice!
