5:40 is that a corvette? i like it, it ended up looking like a retro ferrari monza sp2 the other one i like is the 'prohibition', the color scheme is subtle and not too over the top, the art deco style is timeless the rest had too much chrome, or those gaudy shiny wheel rims which i don't like
It’s awesome to see people still into custom hot rods, I use to go with my uncle who was a hot rod builder back in the 70’s. I was so proud to help get his rods show ready, it was a lot of work but it was worth it, RIP my uncle John”Killer”Welch from Michigan….
That Sho Bird really did it for me. All that underside bling makes me a bit sad as it will forever be a show car, but the details, looks and colour was a throwback to the kick-rear 60s/70s supermodel customs.
Actually just saw a video of the owner, the lady that had to built (and husband) but she said their plan is to hit all the indoor shows first then eventually drive it. She said they're going to swap the rotors first. I'd love to see it on the road. And hear it. The video I watched was her at Sema. Don't know the channel.
Right on! Would definitely go back every day if they had a weekend pass since I only live about a half hour from Detroit. You have great content my friend, I subbed! 👍
Just catching this video today. Beautiful cars, immaculate craftsmanship. ProHibition caught my eye. Would have been cool to see a wax figure of Popcorn Sutton sitting in the driver's seat. Was this show at Cobo Hall? Are you located in the Detroit area? Thanks for the video!!
We just don't get this in the U.K . Much of it wasn't to my taste but one thing that stands out is the shear skill and craftsmanship that went into creating all these fabulous works of art . That '31 Chevy must have cost well into a million bucks and then what can you do with it ? .....Me ! Jealous ! 😠😠😠😠 !
Good job..... A lot of these would be classed as top end show cars. The best of the best, which given the parameters of the show is exactly what they have to be. You have to take them to what the owner and or builder considers them to be the next level, other wise don't bother turning up. Quite often they draw a lot of criticism, "Show queens, to big, to much, etc How ever as someone who has worked in the show industry for a few decades, this is what you have to do to stay competitive. You can't turn up at a show like this and do what some one did 3 years ago. You need to be pushing forward all the time. You need people with deep pockets to finance that, and also that believe in your abilities to create something unique, show case your abilities, enough to grab the attention, but not go to far out of field to loose the rest. And to have the skills and craftsmanship to deliver the final job. You can tell just be looking at these creations that who ever was involved in getting them to the finished item at what ever stage of the build, they were extremely talented, and have spent unmentionable periods of time and money getting to the show. large amounts of respect to any on who was involved in any of the projects.
You are correct ,this is the super bowl for show cars. They only have one chance to win the Riddler. They can't try again next year. Most if not all of these cars are 7 figure cars.....
My choice would be the Olds with the Vette taillights. Beautiful car and the tailights work! Don't remember seeing a custom with Vette taillights. Man that works so well. About the Cuda. I would not vote for it of what looks like a Ford 9 in it. A Dana and only a Dana should be there. Not some Ford 9!!!
@ 3:16 ZZ Top eat your heart out... OMG that is one nice coupe.. check out the creature comforts.. I'd fall asleep in that, I bet it's all sound insulated nothing like the original noise box..
@@K-Effect What is a birthday cake with no ornaments or piping lol. These cars are a expensive birthday cake, Just like OCC bikes, these cars are un usable and sit in storage.
Went to the show..absolutely beautiful cars…I painted cars at Ford motor..so of these cars were stunning..not a speck of dirt or Contamination in the paint they were flawless
Good question Mark. I so much more admire a Hot Rod that I could jump into and drive three states away if need be. That one car with the turbo blades exposed like that..😂😂😂😂 what a joke!
31 gets my vote I wouldnt have cut out the rear fenders like they did I think it would have looked better without doing that I would have made them rounded at the rear not flared out like 31 factory fenders + i needs the grill but on thats been altered
@@AllThingsCool I like how they took the flare to the rear off but the holes and shapes cut out did zero for my taste but to each his/her own it still looks amazing
I agree, it's the best balance of custom and classy. I think the Stude would win if they hadn't got so creative with the grill. Secretly I'm rooting for the 'cuda because I have one.
AWESOME cars. Wish some of them would have had Ryan from Counting Cars paint jobs on them. They are gorgeous now but Ryan could have knocked some of them out of the park.
Sometime many years from now, Other people will find this planet and think that the automobile exterminated the human being much like Homo sapiens supposedly destroyed the Neanderthal.
I don’t know if these are classified as cars anymore!! They never run or drive them!! It’s sorta sad that these vehicles will never see a road !! They are considered more art I would think now ! So much work in these !! They look great!
I would of appreciated some basic commentary on the car builder and special features of each car. Even pausing over the quick shot of a few of the placards didn’t provide much info. Most of the cars were a little over the top for my taste. Sometimes less is more if that makes any sense.
I just went to see the cars man not to report or give a basic run down for each of them didn't dig that deep into them just sharing for those that couldn't make the show . lol
The wheel selection on the '31 Chevy was sad. These huge rims are "faddish" and will hopefully disappear soon. Those selected for this classic car are just cartoonish and not in a good way. Really a bummer with so much other nice work on the car.
@@johnminick7385 Again with such amazing work on "most" of the rest of the car, what a disappointment. The front end was pretty garish too. Sometimes you just need to know when to STOP.
Didn't like any of the Great 8. The 33 Ford was the only one that came close to me liking, but it didn't deserve to be there in my honest opinion it was underdone the rest were overdone
yea sure ur welcome for the footage. smh I'm just an average car guy enjoying the show and recorded it so others that couldn't make it could enjoy seeing the cars like I did. I'm not a production company sorry ur disappointed
They can't keep lying because I'm really real. They keep forgetting about The Ghost reality. The king ain't me. Is what they keep trying to perpetuate but it's really me. It's not them now or later. L property is my property. I'm His actual Son. They still sleep. Because they just want to believe I'm not Hodiyah. They don't understand how a man of average size would need a 10ft tall x 10ft wide throne. Because this is the first resurrection. I'm about to metamorphose into my true spirit God form. Black frequency eagle. I will grow to be 10ft tall. This is the rebirth. I'm the firstborn of the new creation man. And there are ten thrones not just one. The others are of lesser monument stature. But they are still powerful. They think I'm mere fantasma. Not so Mrs. DummyClowns. That's why they can't understand it. Because they don't truly understand what the frequency country is. The land is made of the formless copper. Copper is new man quality. Only Two. Makayla Marianna Hickman and Victor Cardell Hickman. Mind Your Manners. 🙏🤴👸🖕. &Feeling like Chaka Khan $AintNobody
SMH, I just didn't care for any of those. Way too over the top on the design, engineering, fuckin chrome, and color schemes. Sorry folks simpler is better
