This kind of upsets me, Vick abuses dogs and his career is over, yet Sutton abuses women and its not only like it never happened, but now we owe him money? Clown World. Im on team people, Im not for abusing either, but Im putting humans above dogs. The NFL obviously doesnt share my standards.
@taylorshultz4056 Either way, it ended his career. His reputation was ruined. Even my mother, who hates all sports and is an old lady, knew who we was. He was HATED after the dog ordeal. Unlike so many of these dudes who beat on thier wives and girlfriends and no one knows anything about it except us fans who follow the teams.
In no way defending vick but was staying at a hotel in Norfolk taking classes for my maritime licenses and invited a guy having a smoke over for drinks and brats we were cooking on the grills they had turns out it was vicks uncle who sold him some of the dogs lol. Again not defending dog fighting in any way but crazy life experience.
NFL kind of already made their decision Detroit got that money back towards the cap but with a grievance half had to be taken out, seems like a formality, in other news Buggs just got cut from KC in a similar move
Correct. There are a few holdouts on this. But look at Monty Williams. Think if how BS that is. The guy literally lead the pistons to a bottom 5 all time finish, and he will collect eight figures for it. I don’t know why fans think you can just scream “BrEaSh Of CoNtRaCt” here. You need to see the actual contract and read the language. While the lions might catch a break, the fact the Steelers signed him so quick tells me much was overblown and the Lions wanted an out. Again. Does anyone think Sewell would have been cut if he did the same? You know the answer.
The Lions did the right thing. But if Sutton gets his way, then the next guy who batters a woman will learn that it's in his best interest to evade law enforcement. Wonder what happens if he gets back to the Steelers and plays like he's all-pro again -- it's OK to quit on a team and still collect your cash?
Montague and Whithall got absolutely rocked by severe thunderstorms this morning. It's the only time in my life they put the tornado sirens on when there wasn't a tornado
Cam Sutton? Good riddance! He's the worse defensive back the Lions have ever had. Receivers routinely outrun him on every snap. Every snap. Not just now and then. What does this guy have on his mind giving receivers a handicap off the line of scrimmage? C.H.
I have two questions right now: 1.) Can the Lions put in their future contracts a Player conduct clause that voids the contract if they violate the cause for certain listed offenses? 2.) Where did you get the helmet banner behind you and what teams helmet is behind your seat (lower right corner)?
Yeah dude regardless he had guaranteed money and they have to pay it! Don't care what he did! Stop crying it ain't your money and that money was already written off!
Charges are not a conviction. So you should limit accusations by saying the person is accused of a possible felony/misdemeanor for which the person gets to answer those accusations. The Lions can cut a player for any reason but they don’t get to ignore their contract obligations to a player. The Lions did the right thing by eliminating a distraction but will lose this case in arbitration and have to pay Cam Sutton.
Ooooo, I did that with $500 in nickels to the court. They were NOT happy about it, neither was I. I did spend a hour helping 2 ladies count them. That eased the tension a bit. It was a fun day
There Are ALOT of NUTS out In the World....Who Think can Get by With ANYTHING Back To The Faith Of Your SOUL of How to BE Damn THANKFUL FOR WHAT YOU HAVE OR TO Become what it's Like To Be TALENTED .....Do What Needs to be Done ....thank You for Sharing......Be True LION'S ❤❤❤❤❤
What? 😂 per hospital contract they had to let him go. This is a formality and was gonna happen regardless. He had a warrant put for his arrest and they told him to turn himself in, then he went on the run. Boom, character clause breached. More likely he just wants to tie cap up for a year to mess with the Lions
No, I think the NFL acted hastily, though this decision didn't happen immediately. What a great message the league just gave to women. If a guy beats you, he can run from the law and still get his cash.
I’m glad we have you around. You clearly know the exact wording in Sutton’s contract. These things very often come down to how something is written in and what language was used. The fact Sutton eventually turned himself in and was allowed to plead down to a misdemeanor and immediately signed by the Steelers indicates the situation wasn’t an absolute and the Lions cut the guy before knowing exactly why he went on the run. Make no mistake. They wouldn’t have cut Aidan Hutchinson had he done the same thing and you absolutely know it. Their wanted a reason to dump Sutton and if the damage is paying his contract, I say it’s money well spent. The guy sucked, glad he’s gone at whatever cost.
People like you believe everything in the media,,. Find people guilty before the legal process plays out.... Lions trying to have a good image might have to pay for it.
