As a respectful Auburn fan, the main reason Deuce would flip isn't money because ND could/ probably would match his NIL offer. The main reason is Auburn's 2024 WR class. It was one of the best in college football history. There's also the allure of playing in the SEC, which, good or bad, is a real thing. Either way, he seems like a great kid and will do well wherever he chooses to go.
I come in peace as well… I also think for some of these southern kids it eventually hits them regarding the idea of playing so far from home. I think that may be a factor here too.
Deuce is doing what ALL the top prospects do. Look around and leverage their NIL. If he goes and sees AU it’s only gonna up the NIL from ND. So it’s a game. AU lost how many top players last cycle? Several 5⭐️ players literally last day of signing day so it happens a lot in the SEC.
@successful_manager3837 Auburn didn't have any commitments flip on signing day if I remember correctly. We were competing with Bama on Ryan Williams and the safety that went to GA (if I remember correctly), but they were never committed to Auburn. That said, my original point is that NIL is not going to be the deciding factor for Deuce because both ND and AU will probably match any offer the other makes. If that's true, it will come down to other factors. Factors like the WRs he's throwing to, the OL he's being protected behind, the amount of national exposure he'll get, the full coaching staff he'll be developed by, the facility and resources he'll have access to, etc. If we're fully transparent, most of those factors currently lean Auburn's way. Not to mention, he's a lot closer to home. That's just my take, though, and I could be wrong.

Agreed.......as an AU fan I totally understand. We've been on the wrong end of these deals so many times with Bama and Thuga. I wish ND the best no matter what happens with Deuce. I hope all the AU fans handle themselves respectfully here.
As a LSU fan we went through this with Dakorien Moore. If they’re still visiting after committing then don’t get your hopes up until they sign lol. Now if they shut their recruitment down completely it’s safe to assume they are bought in. Crazy times in college football

It's not that we missed on wideouts that has him looking around... but that we actually missed on at least one big wideout bc they knew deuce was looking around already... Hes been flirting with Auburn for over a month.
Even with 10+ visits to ND on his own dime, & this was his first visit to Auburn? He certainly has SEC written all Over him, he just seemed so invested in ND.

One major consequence if Deuce decommits after presenting himself as a solid commitment, will be how far he'll set the ND coaching staff back in recruiting this cycle. That's just the truth, I realize he's just a teenager and I'm not saying anyone should be angry with him, but even as young adults we all have to learn that our actions impact others. Like you said, it'll be nice if he picks ND, but it's looking more and more like the coaching staff is about to be left scrambling to make up for the "mistake" of believing what he told them and everyone else for months, which is, that he's going to ND
Recruiting in general just seems more and more inconsequential these days with the portal. It’s way easier to judge a kid’s talent once he’s played in college vs high school. With the portal you never truly lose a kid to another school and you definitely never really have them. Deuce could show up freshman year and hate the weather and parietals and get out immediately.
Imagine pulling for a school that won’t join a conference cause they know they would never win the conference. Notre dame is a joke. When is Notre dame last championship? War Damn Eagle!

Brain is wrong. Deuce is very familiar with Auburn because of Derrick Nix. He was ole miss OC last year and now he’s Auburns OC. Hughs offense fits Deuce Perfectly. Even though Auburn went all out for JUJU they also had been constantly in touch with deuce behind the scenes for at least a year.
We need a guy that is ND from the start. And let money not get inyoyr way when recruiting. I mean if you make a guy feel wanted rather than needed i think you get further with things.
Deuce head to SEC. Them coaches down in the SEC recruit 24/7 that’s different between a lot of program…. Even if recruit is committed else where SEC coaches still recruit them 24/7
Wouldn’t any fan or supporter want their coaching staff to do their jobs and recruit 24/7? There are coaches that are paid to specifically recruit talent.
People aren't realizing if Deuce doesn't commit with ND we still have Carr and Grubbs. We'll be okay, not the end of the world. We need to be worrying more about WR
This is a tough one for me. I don't think Deuce will sit 2 years behind Carr and I don't think Carr will stick around if Deuce becomes the starter. I actually don't think this is a huge loss considering ND will have Carr for at least 3 more years.
Kids need to see that the wr usage is explosive and or fits them well. ND gotta let it go man, in the first 2-2 1/2 quarters. Cleverly sprinkle in the run game, especially in the fourth quarter. I know, everybody has a game plan lol
The top wide outs and players in Ohio , Indiana , Kentucky, Illinois and Michigan they should be after and early if you get a 4 star or close to it out of Indiana you definitely need to be on him
I agree. These are kids. No reason to get overly emotional when kids change there mind. It's part of what makes recruiting fun to pay attention to. Sometimes it doesn't go your way. I'd love him to stick but I'm not going to dog a young man making a huge decision.
ND can go undefeated and finish 5… that’s all you need to know. Gotta get in a conference. Or lose to the SEC or Big10. Not saying that’s the whole picture but it’s hard to sale not being in a conference.
It's never been hard to sell not being in a conference. The uniqueness of it is what has kept ND somewhat relevant. ND plays in several big games every year so the conference thing is overrated. It's like a bowl game everywhere ND plays. I actually go to enough games to see how everyone raises their ticket prices whenever we show up. You don't do that for just any team.
I seriously doubt he told them early in his recruitment that he didn't want to play WR and they just kept recruiting him there. Players can be unsure of where they want to play at the next level until it gets close to the end of their recruitment, which is likely what happened

He is now considered a 5 star and those SEC schools clearly got to his parents and there is alot of money being thrown around Notre Dame doesn't play in that particular game of recruiting.
