LoR may be a little late but I love LoR more than anything. It's the only card game that made me feel actually, unequivocally, and inimitably immersed in the world. Thank you for this amazing card game.

Now that you mention it, the idea of warwick card always being in the bottom of your deck till you deal enough damage and burst summon him next time youre attacking sounds crazy

Having played LOR on release, I was really surprised because I didn't know about Bacon at all, so it's a great story to listen to while also enjoying the effort they put into the game I'm playing

LoR helped me out when I was feeling miserable last year. It's quite inspiring for me to see that the devs themselves have gone through a setback, yet ended up making this brilliant game many years later.

Playing LoR since january and i Love it i have more then half of the cards (this is my favorite part of it) you dont have to spend any money! You just play and fall in love with the crazy combos animations etc. keep it up

Now I hope we get a warwick who hides in the enemy deck ambushes them

Honestly this is some nice insight to the dev process, thanks for throwing this out. This kind of candor is rare in the industry. Obviously I have no idea what "Bacon" would have eventually turned into, however LoR is easily the most fun I've had with any card game, HS included. I'm happy ya'll stuck with it and made the game you did.

Love the dev doodles. I don't even play Legends of Runeterra, but it's the game I watch the most streaming content for. Absolutely LOVE all the added lore, the interactions between champions and followers, the card acquisition mechanic, everything. But especially the quotes. Braum sees Teemo: "What a... fancy poro!" I must have spent hours on the wiki just listening to all the ones I could find. This game is full of gameplay depth, and so, so enjoyable to watch.

Amazing video on game design in general and learning from one's past projects to make something better for the future. Wish you the best for the coming years.

Never played LoR, but I am so happy to hear it has been a success story since you all got it out in the world. Runeterra is already one of my favourite fantasy worlds. The more we get to see it in so many forms, the better imo :D Can't wait for Arcane series and the MMO!

The true LoR experience is getting hit with a concurrent timelines captain ledros into dreadway dealing 100% of your health no matter how much you heal for.

Legends of Runeterra is such a great game. You can make a deck out of some random cards that don't even work together, but win and still have fun while playing the deck. And I don't even have to talk about how generous it is. Of course, you can pay if you want to buy some card backs or boards, but that doesn't really change anything. So yeah, congratulations, Riot. You made a generous masterpiece

I know riot gets a lot of backlash now and then along their approach to players of their game, but it's so refreshing to see that we can't just view the entirety of riot as the same and gems like you 2 also exist in that space. A really wholesome story and i'm glad to see you 2 making your passion a reality!

A card game I had been working on for about 2 years if close to its final version and earlier this year a card game came out with some of the ideas I wanted to for the environmental feel of it and I thought I could be the first. Also found out they started less then a year ago and dont even have 70 cards base cards. It was kind like how yall talked about hearthstone. But I love yalls game so much and know others do to. Makes me feel like I can do it and another log has been placed on the fire to help me keep in going with it. Thanks again!

My wallet thanks you from my previous days playing hearthstone, spending $60 minimum a year to get 60% of all the cards. And yes, deck building and jank are the best parts of card games, I’m glad it lives on here in LoR.

Competition leads to innovation. Really was interesting to hear their thoughts on Hearthstone and what they took from it to go back to the ding board to make runeterra what it is today.

The games great, I don't play often but when I do there's always some new interesting way to improve and iterate on my evasive poro deck.

About the "Figher game" someone did it of course in physicla cards as Flesh and Blood and currently it is constantly incresing its popolarity. Both hero's have equipment and they use cards as the actions they take. And you can invest your life into it.

I really really love the game and the way it is made, the animations looks so much better then I expected them to be. I played it since beta and loved it a lot. Laterly Ive been getting really annoyed by losing over and over again when I think Ive won already. It really got me so annoyed that I quit the game for a while. But new expansions always attract my attention so I look forward to seeing a lot of new awesome cards!

There's actually an article in Kotaku from 2013 that indicates that some sort of card game was scrapped by Riot. Apparently the first iteration of LOR was called "League of Legends: Supremacy" The articles' title is "Hacker Claims League of Legends Maker Buried a Finished Card Game [UPDATE]"

Xd got disheartened by Heartsone Then learned fron their mistakes, then created a better version That's why i like competition, kind of glad hearstone released earlier so that they can put more effort in this masterpiece!

Genuinely, do that for warwick, a deck that forces control of deck and what you draw

While I'm salty that this game didnt release 5-7 years back when i was still dwindling in every genre/sub-genre of gaming (FG, ARPG, CCG being my childhood gaming and everything else coming after that), I'm glad that this game exist and is definitely what I wanted League of Legends Universe to look like. Great Game you guys build there, hope to make it my goto main game 1 day.

I never played any card games before but after playing League for 5 years and I am still playing it Runeterra is besides yu gi oh my favourite card game only because yu gi oh is my childhood ^-^

The back and forth style of LoR is something really unique. It's not matched by MtG, *certainly* not by Hearthstone, the incredible rhythm really shakes up how you make every single play.

Crazy to think theyve been working on LoR since before Hearthstone

To any League players that tried out LoR in the beta and didn't stick with it, I suggest giving it another try now that we're 2.5 sets (big expansions) further as they added a lot of variety in gameplay and mechanics/keywords as compared to open beta as well as flashier level up animations. From 318 cards in open beta to 770+ right now (800+ after the upcoming expansion on May 5th, reveal season started yesterday).

you guys are amazing,,I am forever thankful LOR is the best card game in my life ever play...now the challenge is how you guys handle rotation and never produce some boring deck like freeze mage or fatigue warrior or some cards that is battle cry auto win the game stuff like that
