DEVASTATING Lakeview, Ohio EF3 Tornado Damage via Drone 3/16/2024 

I too wonder about the correct death toll. It seems to me they came up with the toll really fast.

I listened to radio traffic most of the night and heard 4 DOAs arrive at the hospital. 3 from storm related injury and 1 natural causes. I didn't catch any more called in after that so it's quite possible it's correct.

My sister works at the local hospital. At 5am the next morning. She said 26 the hospital had to call in a mobile morgue because their morgue only holds 2 but had 3 in it. But for some reason everything is still saying 3 and word is some people might’ve been lifted into the lake and there might be bodies there. I’m almost 30 and have spent my whole life here and I’ve never seen something so terrible. I live a couple counties over now so we were safe but my heart hurts so bad for my community.

I was up there yesterday helping out my family who has property up there. Their houses were spared with some damage, but seeing this video shows you how bad others had it. Orchard Island getting the worst of it all. People are resilient though and the neighborhood is doing so much work already. It brings a light to a very dark ordeal.

So, are there still plenty of supplies to go around or are things starting to thin out?

Dayton had an EF4 rating which was crazy.

Never forget, this is possible. Historically this is possible and it's serious. Take weather warning seriously. Born native Ohioan, I was always concerned how the lull in severe weather made people forget or dismiss the possibility of this happening.

Tornados can happen in high elevations, tornados can hit major metropolitan areas, tornados can cross bodies of water. Don't spread the myths that say otherwise

That night, I was seeing the lightning and clouds approach the area to the north from my vantage point in Centerville in the south. My family had met up with my best friend and her parents for a game night to celebrate her 50th birthday. I’ll always remember that night because of that. The air was so thick and sticky. The tornado came to north Dayton later. So many people affected. So sad. Tornadoes are so weird, so fine one minute, devastating the next, one street is fine and two streets over nothing is left.

I live not far from here in Dayton Ohio we had tornado outbreaks in 2019 and you can still see the path of those tornadoes from where the trees are stripped of the foliage

Most of the destroyed homes in the video are mobile homes making it appear stronger. But still a devastating tornado.

We're in one, luckily none landed in our town. Just on the borders of our county, this is one reason why I want to get out of trailer courts.

I hope you can move into a house soon.

We've tried many times, came close to getting one but it was foreclosure. We were afraid that the original owner would come after us, so we backed off. What absolutely sucks is that the town used to have a storm shelter but somebody bought out the building that had it, so now there's nowhere safe to be unless you build your own shelter or go to a friend's or family house that has a basement.

What you have is a blessing compared to millions. Housing prices are criminal nationwide. Hopefully you do have skirting and a tornado never hits where you are. Im in Vegas where we had 88mph winds last month. Lots here in trailers too. Thank God we dont get tornadoes, we risk earthquakes. Vegas has 7 fault lines runnin thru it.

@@rhondaeverett8284 We definitely do have skirting, we were originally just going to take our trailer out of the court because the new owners are absolutely ridiculous. They're raising rent and nitpicking at stuff that is not the way they want it to be. They are also charging us for more money for having a big dog, which they did not do at first and was not anywhere in the rules or whatever you call that. But a good thing they actually did was put real road pavement in and improved the drainage system, the court was basically built on a ditch. It flooded like crazy whenever we had these storms, it was like a literally river. Now it hasn't been doing it lately, it used to get into the yards too.

Did you see a lot of traffic or chasers? I’d love to get a view but it was getting late and also cops were shutting down roads closer to Delaware

A lot of people migrate to this area because of the lake but more than just the mobile homes were destroyed. Businesses that have been there my whole life were leveled and gone.
