I like devon, but if Dennis gets back into the shape he was, when they met left handed...... its curtains. Best believe he will be on the same "vitamin" regimen he was on before.
@@Charlesbjtown you underestimate devon's right, and how unstoppable denis's left was. I'm not saying denis won't win if he's 100% again but devon can put up a fight.
Some says John Brzenk is a face of armwrestling, but if someone asked me, I'd without a hesitation say it's Devon Larrat, you've made so much for this sport, you interested so much people into that, you're like Arnold Schwarzenegger of world of armwrestling
Been doing static holds on my cable machine I made and they feel really good. I do some warm up reps then put on 65lbs and so far only 35 seconds 3 sets. But week 2 should be better. Thanks for all the great vids!!! Hope your son heals fast!!
Can't wait to get those numbers...can barely hold 70lbs for two minutes without a roller grip...I've been working out everyday too both arms though can't believe the improvement you really know what you're talking about...I've gained almost a inch in my forearm because of your advice thanks.
I would love to pull with you Devon, you got me threw 3-1/2 months of hospitalization, I consider you one of my best role models, you were a hero to me during my roughest moments, you gave me the strength to fight threw the difficult times when I thought I was gonna die, I wish some day I could meet you, I am just so appreciative of you and the way you conduct yourself as an athlete and a person, you give me hope and inspiration when I felt like there is none
hope your son is healing well mr larratt Hated to hear about him breaking his arm. on brightside it will probably be way stronger when it heals take care man you are a great arm wrestler and SPORTSMAN IN MY OPINION. DEFINATLEY HARDEST WORKING OF ALL of em
Hey Devon. I live in Ottawa and would 100% be there tomorrow if not for coronavirus. I hope you hold more events like this in the future. All the best man.
Big fan sir you're an amazing person you inspired me so badly to arm wrestle and now I'm training for it and getting stronger every day and since I beat the strongest guy in our friend circle (big credit to you) I tried to follow your arm wrestling style but still I have a long way to go
Being from India knowing little about the sport of arm wrestling, this guy with his showmanship got me into watching these adrenaline pumping matches. You are the GOAT. Also, when you got defeated by Michael Todd I couldn't believe it. Then I found out that Todd had defeated Denis. You should go for Todd first and then Denis. Both these matches will be awesome.
If arm wrestling isn't an Olympic sport soon then it's a crying shame. That machine of yours will become standard equipment in gyms in the future. Lock down got us all hooked on arm wrestling I started watching RU-vid arm wrestling videos back in march........ hooked if you pardon the pun lol. I would give you an arm wrestle you would win but it would be fun just to attempt such a feat. Some amazing battles some incredible athletes that I never heard off. Lockdown has its benefits big fan of this sport now. Awesome sport with incredibly hardworking and talented athletes and the sportsman like conduct seen on the videos is inspiring as I have never been to a match.
Devon, you have to do longer videos 10-20 min. You got so much life experience. Tell us how did you keep going with armwrestling did you ever thought everything is against you? did you ever been told get a real job? how you stay strong mentally and physically? For many, you are a mentor. Keep going sensei. ^.^
Yes, statics are great, I do them but with bands so I can choose direction of pulling of my arm by band in such and such angles :D For every angle I use different direction of pulling of my arm by band you know, for example with diagonal(diagonal to me) pressure when my arm is vertical in middle - band pull to the side, when my right arm is in half of winning half(I use half of winning half because it will have most carryover for whole winning half) band is diagonal above my hand in right side.. it always pulls according to my hand position, I always put band behind my hand so there is like perfect line between my band and my hand(so my band pull against direction where I would move my hand :D) I can always send you photos on insta or something if youre interested haha :D
Devon have inspire me so much I would always copy his training techniques for about 5 month and now i beat every student that I arm wrestle in school over here in kentucky 😂💯👊🏽love this guy I was amaze how I beat this guy twice the size of me 😂🤘🏽I’m in 10th grade right now.keep it up Devon you a legend to me for real for real.
I made a lot of static locks by hanging up in cables sometimes in one arm sometimes in both arms and also used a backpack where was more weights but I held my fist so that my thumb was on the three differend position up-left-right but the reason was at all the small muscles in my arm gained also more strength. back in day age 8 to 15 i got two cables bolts on my room roof & i also made a lot dips & hand stand pushups + many gymnastic moves and i never was a gymnastics but i know statics arm "held" "locks" helps some times when you turn your fists you may notice that some of the arms muscles are not even tense and arms still be in "lock"
Today I am going to press the barbell while standing with an overgrip from 20 to 110 kg and bend my wrists from negative (overgrip) to neutral (hammer) position from 17.5 to 40 kg. I don't even have a bench for static training I am a poor man. Greetings from Poland and my basement.
Conjure Corpse i was wondering this too and thanks for the answer Also..... is it ok if I do them on a pull-up bar that doesn’t have a neutral grip? I would be putting my hands beside each other close together?
LustFN you can do normal pull ups as well but for this exercise, do ur reps as such like ur doing a negative but hold your position once you pull yourself up, that will help build static strength
For sure.....Pullups makes ur forearms fucking strong.....and chinups will train your biceps which is used in armwrestling.....but when you find these exercises easy then switch on to weighted pull ups and chinups.
I didn't know Jerry Cadorette was your idol. You have a big face of him on your shirt. Also Over The Top......the only dvd in the world that somehow keeps playing on repeat without clicking the play button.
Devon, I just discovered arm wrestling because of you and have been watching all of your videos. Can you talk about how you document your workouts? I'm really curious what is on that paper =)
I was watching the europes strongest man the other day, and there was one even that caught my eye, the hercules hold. I think with a little bit of modification it could be a crazy cupping exercise

Mr Larratt, What do you think about before and during a match (especially when you're behind)? Do you feel smack talk can still get under your skin? Love your stuff!
Your so awesome. Like your training is completely different than Michael Todd’s. But your such a good match. Wish I could see y’all swap workouts for a day . That video would be awesome . You to train together for one day! No table time just weights
Have you ever looked into potentially incorporating kettlebells? I'll bet you'd like to hear about what Pavel Tsatsouline has to say about it - he has a JRE interview discussing it
