Developer Update | Year 7 & Wild Hoard 

While I don’t play anymore, for some reason I still feel excited to see what news this game brings, would love to see it thrive.

Finally! This looks so great! Very clean design! The item changes are genius! I can feel how much thought goes into the update. I hope it will feel as good as it sounds. I am excited! Edit: Abusing the likes I want to say. It's a nice idea and good try to make balance easier and such, but please stop bringing out new things and fix det bugs as well as the anti cheat. That's the ONLY things holding paladins really back. And we will never be happy if this didn't change. Still love this game❤

extra damage after getting kills might be really unfun to play against, and I have no idea why you didn't work on khan, but overall, this was really satisfying to watch, the balance changes named here look really promising, as well as the rest of the itemshop does. Only thing might be the illuminate rework, you gotta watch out for skye and strix in particular, that might get unfun, but overall great job!

Paladins needs new things like those new items that are coming in this update!!❤❤ I really hope for more risky updates and changes beacouse game has to be fresh.

Expect for the illuminate remove & lian buff, very interesting changes, but only if we can get 5 items to pick. Edit: trigger scent needs to have a MUCH higher credit price.

Before you guys add all those reworked and new items. You should really put a whole section in the tutorial where you teach newbies about items. Literally 90% of newbies who join a non-bot match for the first time, play with no items. Auto-purchase barely helps too.

no buffs for imani? WTF because they think she's meta?. Due to the new changes in the items, they make their fire cannon useless up to 30+% xD . And that's not counting all her bugs :'(

Finally old veteran is back. I'm sick of damage healer opting to do damage without telling teammates.

Bring back cauterise or wrecker choice. That was balanced and made player decide carefully about their objects. Also remove auto cauterise. A game is competitive and enjoyable for tanks and healer when their purpose and abilities can actually make the difference in the game itself. Any healing on cauterise 90% is useless.

The new items are very exciting. Especially Trigger Scent and the changes to Bloodbath. Personally My new default setup will probably be Trigger Scent, Lethality, Bloodbath, and possible Hoard depending on how much faster it ends up allowing me to max my decks

Why remove illuminate when there are stealth characters in the game with very high dps?

Any plans for a graphical update? Like SMITE?

Still nothing to help balance to healer class… I love having my champion feel powerful and impactful right at the start, only for the next 15 minutes to be a mess of diminishing returns until I feel downright useless. Going from 3 digit heals per tick to healing 6 hp ever tick hurts…

Not sure why they wouldn't introduce an upgrade from 4 to 5 item slots now that there are 20 possible items instead of 16, especially with everything being split up.

I'm glad they reworked the trials and made them class oriented, forcing people to play characters that they don't like/have never played just ruins the experience for them and for their team...

and now how is kasumi supposed to stand a chance against skye and strix...

So, only good balance changes in the video are Caspian not being absurdly OP anymore, useless Illuminate being removed making people maybe actually learn how to play around stealth and Terminus finally getting a decent change to feel more consistent but the rest is either meh or completely unbalanced. These changes to the item store are beyond dreadful. I'm happy to see Kinessa will be able to oneshot any non-tank character without ult once more, because that's fun and balanced, of course, because of Trigger Scent... Way too many items for only 4 slots along with the fact the time to kill is again reduced because you will overall take more damage and the splits in items ensures you need to forgo at least one important item that can make your experience in game miserable. Especially Resi's split is just the worst idea I've seen in years, forcing you to use the one that reduces all other CCs because of how prevalent and strong CCs are in this game but making slows and boops completely awful because, yes, they are still very strong in game and without countering it, you can now get booped out of the point throughout the game and be unable to contest, just for an example. If you want to go both, you'll have to forgo either damage reduction items which also got split or forgo something like Wrecker on dps characters meaning shields tanks are unkillable if played decently well. And so on. This will not even help the play rate of other items in more serious matches because you can pass out on extra healing if your healer is good, you don't need any of the green items, you barely need the yellow items since they are just utility enhancements, which are great and helpful, but not necessary apart on supports. But avoiding getting chain CC'ed is just absolutely mandatory or you just don't play the game at all. Damage reduction is overall the more efficient defense as well. No need to even mention the number changes on quite a few of these iteams as well which are also completely crazy overpowered on defensive items with a whopping 36% DR against abilities on Arcane Warding and 24% against weapons on Armor Plating which is the biggest value having been seen in years... I don't know what else to say, any player with some actual knowledge of the game and how it works should see these changes are actually extremely bad news. Please stop breaking the game, I beg you :( Don't ''fix'' what isn't broken...

I am so happy to see the game trending away from being super defensive more and more. This game has never been more fun than when it is fast, chaotic, low ttk deathball game. Hope we get back to the point of a few years ago when triple DPS was the meta comp

Still hoping to see the return of top plays and kill cams, maybe even a new gamemode that makes use of the removed 3rd person mode. I'm thinking something similar to Mario Kart, but with Paladins. Maybe as a way to play to earn a few crystals by playing. As well as official submission of Paladins Assets onto the Steam SFM workshop, to allow fans to easily make animations to advertise the game.

Haven was fine, current haven was a fix for how stupid old blast shields use to be. I hope this doesn't lower the TTK

looking very forward to this, might put some money into skins again .. please lower crytal prices though.. the game has so many skins and champions at this point, nobody is ever gonna come even close to buying them all. Lowering the price for crystals might make them more attractive as they have more value/they get more cool skins out of it - Which means it will be more easily justifyable imo. Just increase the battlepass pricing accordingly

Bonus damage item and buffs to damage n flanks. Great. More damage in a game where if multiple people sneeze on you it's an instant KO. Time to kill in this game was already practically instant without mobility. Thank you evilmojo very cool guess I'm gonna drop the game again for the same reason lmao

Ok because I do see that the game is going into a good direction and i still play can we get skins for every character when a new season drops? Like maybe some get theirs later in the season and others get them in the beginning? Anyway i think it would be cool if every character had a new skin be the end of the season. I'm sorry for putting my idea here i just don't know where else to put them for them to be heard.

Can we leave the blue items as they are??? Illuminate wasn't op or anything, it it was needed - it could be bought. I can already imagine strix players dealing 1200 damage, then going invisible right away without being able to find them. Very poor choices... also 3 different items for reducing damage from abilities, reducing effectivness of slows and knockups and an additional item to reduce the duration of cc effects... like what if you face inara with cripple? you will need both "unbound" and "sentinel". This reminds me of older times, where if you faced like cassie and drogoz you had to get both blast damage reduction and normal reduction. Poor, very poor choices... the item shop does not need much changes, and if it does, blue items as they are is NOT one of them.

I'm still holding out hope for Torvald getting his OB42 kit again, but that frame where the shop closed didn't bring me much hope...

I feel like every time they want to do major changes to the game they change the item store :/ the item store was fine, they could improve a lot of other things like botsm movement physics idk. You are just reverting to a more complex item store, when you simplified it some years ago

Terminus could use some DR after his ult. It could make it more useful and reliable. Around 5s could be interesting.

Нафига было столько всего хорошего Удалять из игры или переставать делать, что бы по итогу вернуть то, что убрали и даже усовершенствовали. Не спорю, что это всё косяки прошлого руководства игры и кого то ещё, и сейчас народу приходится отдуваться за те косяки. Спасибо за труды. Но игре нужно кардинальное перерождение.

1 very, very important part you miss, ITS TO IMPRUVE THE STABILITY OF THE GAME AND PERFORMANCE!!, its nice all this new stuff, but, the performance is key for every one, no more kik outs of the game, no more MOUNT BUG (no more bugs in general to be honest 😉😊) , you need polish the game first, to get more ppl and MORE MONEY, becouse the skin are realy nice, take advantage of your awesome art team, and impruve the game play, pelase!! These "dedicated players" are the same ones gaslighting everyone into thinking Damba should be the standards for the support class. these new items only make things more complicated, more snowbally and buff flanks instead of helping the Damage class who have had the historically lowest win rates,

While I'm sure this update will be broken, I'm fine with that if it makes the game feel alive again.

Also... Bounty Chest would be nice, allowing players to get those Bounty shop exclusive skins again but in chest RNG form instead. Or through special gamemode. Maybe more Color variants of skins similar to that Steller update. Would love a Green or Yellow or even Red Omega Dredge. Ooo maybe even a free one that unlocks if you found all the rest of the colors. I.e Rainbow
