I have ADHD (and in very early recovery) and I find it really hard to leave bed most days but a hack that works EVERY TIME is playing my fave upbeat song (that week, cus you know it be changing regularly) on my phone. i'll start dancing to it in bed and before i know i'm up and ready to get on with the day.

Nice tips! I like to use vizualisation also in the morning. I visualize about who I wanna become and it helped.

Lucas- I wish everyone could watch this video. Those morning struggles you shared resonated with me eventhough I never experienced addiction. I remember your energetic, positive and refreshing attitude at work and with teammates, in the past. That was something that I always cherished and looked up to. Now I understand it wasn't accidental, you were actively working towards a healthy lifestyle 💙 Thanks again for sharing these wonderful tips 🙌🏽

For me, prayer is everything. Combing the psychological and spiritual is key for my recovery believing the spirit is most powerful giant 🙌 😅

Unfortunately if you're responsible for young kids then you don't get to choose what you listen to,you can't sit and focus on something or have quiet time, work out etc...
@spotlightrecovery
@spotlightrecovery 5 месяцев назад
Thanks for the comment! I understand how much time & responsibility that is, but I still believe there are multiple things you can do to incorporate them. Waking up earlier than your kids seems to be the key to success with any parents I've worked with, so you literally make that time for yourself before being disturbed. I also think kids need to be taught healthy boundaries and have examples set for them. So even though it's not possible to do every day, setting the expectation that mom needs time for quiet, to work out, to be undisturbed, even for 15 minutes is reasonable and can make a big difference for all of you. Lastly, if you have a partner to share this with (which seems to be the case from your channel, great work by the way!) then it also seems reasonable to share the load and take turns watching the kids so you can create that time. Definitely not trying to step on your toes here, just wanting to offer ideas. But try and do this for you! I'd also be happy to work with you on this, contact info is in the description.
