Boycott those places where our culture is not respected.

I am a Sri Vaishnava. I wear dhoti all the time even to my college but when I joined infosys I wasn't allowed wearing dhoti. I worked there for 2 and half years. Now I resigned and currently doing my svadharma of pourohityam. I am not earning much but I didn't choose this profession for earning also. It gives me satisfaction that I am following dharma and also am trying to make many people to follow the path of dharma. Keerthi akka you became my inspiration now. I will try my best to establish dharma in the great lands of Bhaaratha.

I have lived in the US for 25 years; people go to malls in their non-shoes footwear, eat hamburgers and fries with hands in the mall food court, travel by plane while wearing sandals. I hope my fellow Bharatiyas come out of this so-called 'western" mindset that does not exist here in the US. Keerthi, thank you for speaking boldly on this!!!

Finally you spoke my mind akka, I still don't understand why these people feel that entitlement that they think they can control what we wear and how we eat, when we enter a restaurant, all we want to do is eat the damn food and relax as we are far from home! that's the whole point of restaurants, isn't it? Rules to eat food that we PAY? change our lifestyle and leave our culture for Someone/something that can't survive without OUR MONEY? Ridiculous... It's unfortunate that we can't follow our culture in our country but what is stopping us? We are not dependant on them, they are depending on us and we must make them realize that. So no matter what please flaunt your ethnic wear proudly, this is our country and our culture. As a north indian, I'm used to eat with spoon but I travel very frequently to Chennai for my work and I noticed dedicated hand wash corner at every restaurant which really made me realised our lost culture Thanks for pointing it out

Absolutely true. There is no limit as to where this message has to reach..... Indian culture begins from the dress we wear and the way we live. But, it makes us question ourselves when we look around, where development is frequently being misinterpreted to be westernizing. I feel the women of the country should definitely understand the exact meaning of women empowerment. Wearing shirt, pant is not the way of it.

Finally! We are soo very proud of you akka for this amazing video...I have travelled to many places in India and had stayed in many hotels ranging from 3star to 5star and always used to think regarding this main issue that is the FOOD!! Food is a part of indian culture and it is not just about the spices and the cuisines rather also about the way we sit in padmaasan and take every bite of food with our own hands! It is soo sad that people having misconception that about being modern and being western! Hope to see an insightful change ahead in our country!
