@@bradens.3125 Majora was initally asked from Miyamoto himself to be made in one year after OoT since it took forever for Ocarina to come out, until Aonuma almost died during development and he said "Alright Eiji, you can have another year." And Sakurai was still in awe of producing the first SSB; he also said he barely "lived" during Melee's development

Considering the PS3's AWFUL architecture and how bad it was to design games for, it might be the ONLY thing Agent comes out on.

The anime adaptation, however, fucked up a lot of things. Funny enough, a Tsukihime remake was announced and has been in the works for quite a while now... We're never getting it bros, this fucking blow

Honestly, I'm really pleased about that just because it means there's a slim chance now that they'll actually, y'know, remake _Final Fantasy VII,_ rather than just slapping a _VII_ skin over the gameplay of _XIII._

@@JustAndre92 yeah exactly. All people want is the gameplay of FF7 with modern amazing graphics. That's it. Square are deaf-blind to what fans want a lot of the time, though. If they just did a remake instead of a sort not reboot, it'd sell millions while being cheaper and quicker to make, and would open up the possibility of doing the same for FF 8 and 9, as there are so many fans who prefer one of those to the others (I always thought 9 was the best one, for example). But no, turn based battles are bad apparently, according to the company that built its fortune on that.

Finishing games is really hard. I think almost every indie dev has a graveyard of half-finished games, myself included. When you start, you are hyped about the idea. Then you really hit the grind of making a game and it is soooo tempting to convince yourself that there is something horribly flawed about your current project so you can go back to the fun brainstorming and designing phase. That initial energy is long gone, and it is a phase where you just have to work. Being able to stay focused and motivated is one of the things that separates successful indie devs from unsuccessful ones.

Ok so I saw this video today (Feb 2023) and I have this theory: When Scott released this video, he said that it still appeared on the website and said For PS3. Now, this is stupid because the PS4 had been out for 5 years at that point, so my theory is that they had a contract with Sony that was tied to the PS3, and Sony stopped releasing games for the PS3 in August of 2020, which probably means that Rockstar lost interest very early after the announcement and decided to “wait out” the death of the PS3 which voided the contract as it was no longer feasible to make a PS3 game. And the reason they kept renewing the name was because the contract said Agent had to be made by Rockstar. I dunno, maybe I’m wrong and the game will eventually come out. See you in 5 years
