Devi is... A complicated character, and this really highlights that.

Devi’s character is seriously one the deepest ones I’ve seen in a long time. Her personality is “complicated” because not many people relate to her completely, but it shows all these stages of grief and how she deals with them. Plus, everybody gets jealous and I love how the show actually shows it instead of sugarcoating everything

Ngl devi is a flawed character and that's why I like her, cus she's realistic as a teen girl.

I like how complex Devi's character is. Really depicts how a teenagers handles conflict and trauma. Her character is allowed to suck so many times, embarass herself with the worst behaviours, its really realistic.

Devi changed her whole attitude towards neese because of a boy. I cant help but wonder how their relationship could've been if Ben wasn't there.

I really like Aneesa and Devi's freindship!! I know devi really effed up and hurt Aneesa, and there is ne excuse. But I do like how hard she is trying to make it up to Aneesa, especially by respecting her relationship with Ben even though it hurts her. I hope we get to see Devi be a better friend to Aneesa in S3! Devi is trying, but she has a long way to go in making up to Aneesa. Devi did have lot of character development in the last two episodes, I just hope we get to see it last and her become a better friend and person.

I do love Devi's character. She's FAR away from perfect,and somehow that makes the show so much better. And unlike any other,you can see she is good written and ACTUALLY has a personality and acts like a teenager.

I'm so happy they didn't pit Aneesa and Devi against each other too much, Aneesa is actually amazing and even forgave Devi, great to see them being friends

Devi is complicated but she’s relatable we’ve all had a person we were jealous of because they seemed so prefect they were smarter,prettier and they had cool parents. They got a long with everyone. Especially because she’s in high school I feel like a lot of ppl are being harsh on her but I understand she was being rude but it was the jealousy talking.

A lot of people are hating on devi,which honestly is understandable but also you can't expect her to be perfect, what she does is messed up, she has flaws like every other human being and when she realizes her mistakes she tries her best to fix them and that should also be appreciated.

I can just see the pain in Bens eyes. He still loves Devi, even though he doesn’t want to. She cheated on him, and he still wants to be with her so badly, but doesn’t want to admit that he’s forgiven her. Ben is with Aneesa, but she is only his way of coping… he doesn’t really love her. Hell, he almost asked Devi to the dance that *he was at with Aneesa* . That is, until Paxton showed up.

i think everyone thinks devi did all of that to aneesa because of ben, but it was more than that. people started calling aneesa “devi 2.0” and treating devi as less than, and (if i remember correctly) someone saw devi and said “is that aneesa?” and someone replied “no, aneesa is the skinny one” and all that. it doesn’t make what she did right, but it was much deeper than ben’s attention.

I’m so glad that this isn’t the end of the show because the couples at the end of s2 did not make sense to me at all (except Fabiola and Eve). Aneesa and Ben didn’t know each other for that long (I did like their friendship tho), and Trent and Eleanor (I know they just danced but still)?? As for Devi and Paxton, I know that Devi liked him for a really long time already but he was so hot and cold all the time and didn’t even put as much effort as Ben did. Here was my rant. Thank you

I really love this series. The characters are so complex it's a pleasure to watch. They are really tridimensional and have lots of emotions, backstories and character developments. There is not a single character I dislike.

I can’t tell you how much I relate to devi , like I lost some of my family and used my friend as a support system but then this new girl came and made me feel shit about myself and eventually my friends left me but Devi made realise what kinda person I am.

I loved this season, we had the opportunity to see Devi get jealous of Aneesa which turned into an amazing friendship. i'm glad she accepted her relationship with Ben and i got to see that Devi and Paxton are actually a really good couple. Even tho at the end it looks like Ben still has feeling for her

The thing that I loved the most was that Devi wasn't just jealous over Ben's affection or Aneesa being pretty. She was jealous about everything and that is realistic af. Her being jealous of Aneesa's social skills, her raptor with teachers and not to mention her being good with school, something Devi takes pride in.

devi lowkey reminds me of a skins uk character. they screw up a lot. but they are human beings and do feel bad for the things they do and try to right their wrongs. and they do highlight her trauma over her dad affecting her decisions without using it to justify her mistakes. i really like this show. i need more teen shows to be like this.

I haven't watched Season 2 yet, but from the comments and the video, Devi's feelings and reactions are completely valid. Or at least I relate to them. Being jealous is very realistic, but being jealous for her looks and envying it is the closest to the truth I can get. I'm an Indian-American like her, (obviously my family isn't like hers lmao), and from the lack of representation and the hate put into our culture, being jealous of one another is kinda inevitable.

Honestly I knew where Devi was coming from. honestly, for a while i think the thing that really bothered her was aneesa, the new girl who everyone compared her to, who was the only other brown girl also, and who just joined her friend group out of nowhere and i think she was jealous of that, jealous of her popularity and how easy it was to make friends, and upset how she was now being compared to her, almost pinned against her, and then of course when she told ben off Devi was more friendly to her, then when she realized Ben and her were becoming more than friends i feel like it wasn’t devi wanting to be with Ben, but more her wanting to be aneesa, but also she definitely does like ben still but i feel it’s also really tangled in there with Neesa

I hate the fact that when devi regretted what she have done and trying her best to fix everything, everyone has been hard on her, expecting from her to do everything...we are all familiar with her history with anger issues and "acting out" but no one can change to the better when everyone is constantly blaming her.

I think the reason why Devi is so focused on these relationships is because she thinks people will end up leaving her like her father did. Her mom and her have a strained relationship so she feels that no one understands what she goes through.
