Devil May Cry 4 Vergil, Lady and Trish Scenes Reaction 

The last cutscene was using alternate skins. The one for Dante with the Vergil cut and purple trench coat is actually what their father, Sparda, looks like as a human. That's why his color scheme is purple (Dante's red and Vergil's purple mixed) and why he has two different guns named Luce and Ombra, the same two guns Trish uses normally. Vergil's appearance really solidifies the difference between him and Dante, even more so than 3. Dante looks at every enemy as a fun way of killing time while Vergil, as Ken mentions, just looks at them as a boring chore that has to be executed in the most time-efficient manner. Meanwhile, you see that Nero takes a middle ground - he enjoys fighting as an outlet for his anger but he doesn't want to play with his food even if he savors the kill.

The opening to Vergil’s scene is what you want to remember very carefully also Dante’s pimp suit is actually Spardas skin it’s what Dante’s and Vergil’s Father is depicted as. Also dente’s red and Vergil’s blue makes purple/Violet. Kind of symbolizing that Dante and Virgil or 2 half’s of their father from the color of their clothing to even their personality

Lady and Trish are such an amazing duo. I hope we see more of them in DMC 6

9:23 I love that Trish and Lady still have that kinda slight rivalry going on. For those not in the know, Trish and Lady officially met in the anime. Originally bumping into each other during one of Lady's jobs. They fought with everything they had and at one point Lady made a hole in Trish's outfit just to anger her. But then, Trish gained the upper hand and was pretty much about to kill Lady but opted for messing with her by shooting her in the hair which obviously pissed off Lady. After resorting to just punching one another Trish decided it was enough and was about to shock Lady but Dante finally arrives after taking his sweet time. Not so much worried for them but rather the property damage they were causing. Lady demands answers thinking it was a prank from Dante but eventually things clear up about Trish's affiliation with Dante and since then they get along better and gang up on Dante during arguments. But as you can see, there's still some of that "Don't think we are even" vibe going on.

From what I've heard the director wanted to do more with Vergil's story but they had a very short time frame for producing the special edition.

It's hinted that the lady that starts looking at Vergil in the beginning might be connected to Vergil. Bit I'll keep that a secret for later.

I'm actually surprised the original cutscene compilation didn't show Dante entering the Dice puzzle room. He just shrugs and cuts the die in half and the puzzle just gives up and let's him through.

Vergil can do amazing scenes with just only his katana and he doesn't even like guns. Trish and Lady make it look good too, they love a good party.

Yeah, Vergil cutscene is pretty much just some exposition on what they plan to reveal on dmc5. Cant wait to see your review of that. Just jump in without any trailer is the best way.

In the last Vergil cutscene, his shadow is actually Nero's Devil Trigger. If you know why, then you know why. Also one of Trish's alternate costumes is Gloria, so you can play as the sex robot.

Vergil is my favorite character from Devil May Cry.

Fluffyquack is literally the OG of capcom modding, and maintains the most powerful set of tools for modding RE engine games. All of my mods for Capcom games literally depend on his framework to run at all. The ending scene is alt outfits; Dante's is actually his father's Regent suit when traveling out of hell; you had to have the proper style, of course. Lady and Trish definitely mirror Dante and Vergil.

Just keep in mind the missions in the game are all the same when you play as vergil. Lady and trish is like Dante and Nero, u swotch between them 2. Chronologically though, dante and nero are there much after the events of dmc2. But vergil was there before the events of dmc3, that's why the sparda statue was incomplete

Still missing the ending you get for protecting Kyrie during the credits after their miss gets interrupted, they hold hands and it’s cute. Nero’s demon hand glows pink for a few seconds, indicating he’s blushing.

Yeah those 4 Cutscenes I mentioned are the only ones (minus like the one with Trish and Lady near the Church) that actually happened specifically Vergil's, that's why lots if not all of these are just the same ones as in the main game but with different characters. Edit:Wait, I should've said 5 because of Lady and Trish's cutscene. Edit 2:Majority, not lots if not all.

About Vergil's cutscenes, we can see a woman who looks back at him in the first cutscene. And in the last cutscene, we can see Vergil's shadow that resembles Nero's Devil Trigger.

I think the suit that Dante is wearing was his father Sparda's outfit. And by the way, maybe you might want to check everyone's moveset, all of them.

Y'all should know that in addition to the Nintendo Direct and State of Play this week is TGS which sometimes has something. DMC 3 was actually announced there and gameplay of 5 was shown along with Vergil. I doubt DMC stuff will be there as much as I pray a DMC Remake becomes a thing. Capcom will be there on Friday though so we could at the very least see all of the other flagship titles there. Hopefully Dragon's Dogma 2 gameplay but I doubt it. I'm not sure what all other companies will be there but I expect more of what we saw at State of Play along with at least one big reveal. Also looking back it's kind of crazy how little Vergil there is. The last we saw him before was in 2005 and SE came in 2015. I guess by that point though they already abandoned the reboot and decided on continuing the series. It's still a little crazy though how much impact he's had on people considering how little we actually see him. Now he's known to many as meme for how cool he is and half of the stuff is his DMC 3 appearance. That's part of why I hope for DMC 6 he becomes an actual main character in some way.

That last scene of Vergil walking through the night shows a shadow of a demon. That is Nero devil trigger. It just dropped u a hint.

i can see that you're interested in undersanding the story and the lore context before diving into the crazy action in DMC5, so i think you should know : most of the story takes place outside of the games, almost all of the important backstory details for Dante, Nero, Vergil, and V (new guy for DMC5) are in mangas, comic books, novels, short stories and other stuff, certain details you need to truly understand the context and/or emotional weight of certain scenes in the games, thankfully there's a video that compiles ALL of it, think of it as a 2h 40min movie (cause it's really that good), tho i don't recommend seeing it before DMC5 because the backstory itself spoils like every twist in DMC5, if you have some extra time after you finish the games...even months later i highly recommend checking it out it's one of my favourit YT vidoes ever and a true tressure for DMC fans. i'll drop the link under one of your DMC5 videos which by the way i can't wait to see 🙃

Supposedly during the beginning with Vergil, the lady in red that turns to look at him as he walks away is rumoured to be the woman who he makes Nero with! Not sure if that was just a fan theory or what but still seemed pretty neat

Not sure that I’d really consider devil may cry a october/scary vibes type of game but I guess some of the demons are gross or creepy haha. So yes start it sooner than later pleaseee. Oh also I have a recommendation for a video, and that is to watch all of Trevor’s rampage missions in gta 5. It really shows off how crazy Trevor is on his own when he’s not doing missions with the crew. If you guys need me to find the video and send it to you on ig I can. The biggest mystery here is the clue of vergil wife only shown here in dmc 4 secret ending wait havent watched slow pause watch in 0.1x speed then freeze see the girl hint shown is there mystery yet to solve her name and also lady mother name also which dante use plus othees things like sparda and mundus return from original dmc 1 classic game yet to come hope in dmc 6 maybe .....

That simp suit is an fun altarnative skin for Vergil and Dante. that's how their father Sparta did look like in human form. Not sure for Lady but i think it's funny as well cause Trish is a demon that was created to that looks like Dante/Vergil's mother. so "Dante/Vergil's mother" with their "father." XD

A bunch of these scenes are just repeating the Dante and Nero scenes to allow the gameplay to flow, but yes when Vergil was 18, a year before 3, he visited Fortuna Island for the purpose of researching the Order of the Sword, and Sparda. Dante was originally planning to end this mission quickly, hence capping Sanctus immediately, but took a step back when Nero caught his eye. On the note of Dante being perpetually bad with women, the novel set before 5 tells us that Lucia from 2 would totally be down to settle down with him, and there have been rumours floating around of a "Ladies Night" dlc for 5 focused on Trish, Lady and a return for Lucia. The purple Dante costume is his father's human form.

It cracks me up that Trish makes that dig on Dante lol. I mean what is he supposed to do? She was literally created to be an exact physical replica of his mother lol, you really expect him to put the moves on that?? Jeez, Trish. I mean, she doesn't look like MY mother, I'D shoot my shot...but that's a big ask of Dante, girl lol. I do love that Lady has a little bit of a romantic streak though (or else she's just perving on em, either way is entertaining lol). But yeah, I think someone else mentioned it but that last cutscene was using some of the palette swap skins you can customize the characters with in the game. I wanna say Trish and Lady's recolors are kind of meant to have the two of them exchange color schemes just for the luls, but Dante's "Legendary Dark Knight" skin is meant to be in his father's image (I don't recall if it does it in THIS game, but in other games where he has that skin it changes his Devil Trigger form to look like Sparda himself too). I do agree that Dante looks a little posh compared to who he is as a person, though...and while the white tube top doesn't do any bad things for Trish, I do concur that Lady gets the best of it for sure. Sure beats the extra costumes they had in DMC2 lololol. Too much denim and neckerchiefs lol. Lucia looked decent but Dante had a little of a "Brokeback Mountain" vibe going on lol. Which is fine, it's a look for sure...but it didn't feel very Dante IMO lol. Can't wait for Sundays to start hitting now though! Are these going to be recorded streams that stay on the channel, or are they gonna be "miss it and lose out" like some of the past streams have been? It's hard to get in on those timeslots sometimes, weekend nights are usually my only available gaming nights for co-op with my buddy (due to his work schedule) so it means I usually have to choose between spending time with an IRL friend or catching the stream of some of my favorite Internet peoples. I really want to be there for your experience with DMC5 though, so if I can't catch up the next day I may have to sacrifice a little of my game time lol.

And here you can see two very important pieces of lore 1) Vergil hasn't changed clothes in 30 years. He's a very stinky boy 2) Dante hasn't gotten any girl. Dante is a virgin. Dante is like Goku, and thinks sex is a pizza topping.
