From Mission 18's final battle that includes fighting Griffon, Shadow and Nightmare - all at the same time... Unofficial, but at least extended. The moment I heard that theme, I instantly fell in love with it and wanted to make a separate and extended version. Music taken from in-game recording. Was a bit of a trouble, but it was worth it. :)
Of course some samples used in the theme are part of "Mental Machine" a.k.a. original Nightmare theme from DMC1.
Might prevent a bit of hunger for official soundtrack which is coming 20th of March. Have a good listening. I know I will \m/
Reuploaded since Sony Vegas pre-plugins for audio were screwing up original quality of the recording. Forgot to disable them on first rendering. If you liked, disliked or commented on first upload - thanks for that. No need to do it again... unless you feel that desperate xP

This fight was really just a middle finger to the players. They really just took the most difficult enemies from DMC 1 and said “Ok now fight them all at the same time.”

I love how elements from every previous canon devil may cry game (except 2) and even the anime are in dmc5. Lady, Artemis and Vergil from 3, Trish, Gryphon, Shadow, Nightmare from 1. Patty's from the anime on the phone, and Nero from 4.

It's even got stuff from 2 actually. The Rebellion debuted in 2, Balrog was Argosax's lieutenant, and the Baphomet and the Lusachia were inspired by 2's Goat demons (confirmed by the character designer himself). 5 is damn every previous DMC game, anime and novel rolled into one, and it's great.

When itsuno helped with character design in DmC: devil may cry there was an enemy that had blades on its elbows and itsuno asked how it functions in terms of attacking and the DmC designers said "its doesn't it just looks cool". Itsuno went "well take them off then" and reworked that idea into the judecca

The PTSD is so strong, no one gives mercy to Nightmare in DMC5. I can't even imagine how hard they must be on Hell and Hell mode. Can you even process if Capcom planned Hell and Hell mode in the first DMC? 😱

When I realized I had to fight them and this came on I just about screamed. This was an amazing remix of the greatest VGM of my childhood. This is probably my favorite track from DMC 5.

I had to go back and listen to the original Mental Machine again. That game's OST was underrated, but one of the best OSTs I've heard. Unpopular opinion: All that death metal in DMC3 and DMC4 was getting on my last nerve. Like stfu.

Ain't that the Truth it's the only place i regret not using items as it was complete BS. The whole run was item free until Mundus but damn i hated every second of nightmare i even channel my frustrations into a 3,000 word essay on exactly how his every move functioned.

Mental Machine was my favorite boss theme from the original Devil May Cry game. This remix along with Psycho Siren and Flock Off! brought me back in time~ Well done, everyone! Well done! (Ironically, on my very first playthrough (2-3 Thanksgivings ago) of the game, I had little trouble on the Nightmare bosses. It was pretty easy, actually. Surprising given all the "nightmares" I hear about it. lol)

Nice remix! I have bad memories when fighting Nightmare in DMC1 but loved fighting him in DMC 5 (obviously cause it's less scary:D) and sure was happy to hear remixed versions of Griffon, Panther and Nightmare:) Although that would be their last battle and.....the end of Vergil's nightmare:'( Man.....DMC is so deep storywise...

Sounds like they took inspiration from the reboot’s more edm kind of theme, granted it’s always felt like dmc has this edm metal kind of soundtrack but I’m not going to lie, Noisia did a much better job when it came to the edm soundtracks In the reboot

It is literally a remastered version of Mental Machine(DMC1) but yeah, sounds like it. The music compared to the older version sounds like this nightmare is free and can do whatever it wants than old nightmare but it is on rush that is why it is upbeat.
