As a kid growing up in Erie, Devil's Backbone was a cliff behind Behrend College, on/in Four Mile Creek.

How about researching the Devil's Backbone in Girard, the Gudgeonville Bridge...I think it there were published stories about it being haunted, and Ax Murder Hollow. When I was a kid, I couldn't get enough of Erie's haunted history. Oh, and what is the origin of the name Kearsarge? I grew up wondering why they named battleships after it.

My Grandfather Leroy Besanson was supposedly murdered by the Erie police in the 1960’s. I’d really like to know the truth about what happened to him. He was a WWII Veteran.
