IDK about incredible. It's not the piano and as far as coding goes, nothing in his presentation showed that he really did anything. If he had designed the graphics, I would say wow. If he showed us an app he wrote, or more than a buggy car hitting a wall powered by spaghetti code and probably not even that because the development engine he used did most of the heavy lifting, I'm sure. A 5yo girl playing the drums better than most professionals is incredible. Yeah this kid is cool n all but ordinary. People telling him hes incredible all the time while he grows may prove to be detrimental. Right now hes encouraged but he needs a reality check and a mentor. Nothing worse than arrogant kids who think they are smart. They end up stunted because of that, they never feel the need to progress and waste all they time with the new friends they gained from popularity which could be encuragment too. Like I said, lots of guidance because I think he will be incredible one day. I stress all this because people like that kid and allot of kids who have allot to be also have allot to screw up and allot of ways to go insane. Kid is basically bi-lingual. I'm glad he didn' t get an "investment", he can stay humble and maybe learn to make his own 3D models. It makes me upset to see tech people pay money for things they should be able to do themselves. Anyway, good luck to him and I hope he never looses his passion.

Any developer would definitely prefer having a manager who actually knows how to code, though, rather than one who thinks all management is the same and that it will work if the engineers say they need a year and you tell them they have 3 months. At least a manager who knows how to code will know things like what should be hard, what should be easy, and what is even possible. I am a bit surprised that he was able to educate himself up to the point of being able to create the prototype game without completely falling head-over-heels in love with the skill... but hey, different strokes for different folks. I fell in love with it when I was younger than him, and no kid is making a mistake if they're moving in this direction generally. He also sounded not entirely wedded to games, and open to working on other IT products in the future, so that's a big plus. The only thing bigger and hotter than the games market is everything outside of games. Software controls the world, and that's not changing any time soon.

He lost you because he is ambitious? Fair play to the kid. At his age all I wanted to do was cause mischief, play on my PS3 and waste away. If you asked me what I dreamed of being when I was his age I'd have just said mafia hitman. He's a precocious young lad and I am impressed by him. He has more technical skills than me and I'm 25 in two months.
