Can we just appreciate Devy's impeccable vocal here. Two decades later and performing as if he was laying down the original studio track. I swear, this guy's vocals have aged down. He only seems to have improved with age.

I downloaded this off Napster when I was like 13 because everyone on the boards said this was like the most aggressive song ever. They weren’t wrong.

20 odd years ago this was my gateway to Devin's music, I think it was on a Metal Hammer CD. Devin, that you can still hit those highs after so long makes me moist.

I've listened to this song a million times but this is the first time I can hear the actual riffs they play. Sounds worryingly good without cymbals too.

First and foremost I'd like to compliment everyone involved here. You guys all sound amazing. This song is still so badass. That being said I can see why Devy doesn't play it anymore. He really is a whole different person now than he was back then. As amazing as you sound Devy you sound like you're singing someone else's song. The first time I ever heard this song or anything by you it was live at the first sounds of the underground tour. I was an instant fan but I wasn't ready for the new direction you took when you parted ways with the band. I stayed a fan of your old tunes but didn't keep up with your career for a lengthy unknown period of time until I recently rediscovered you and your music. You became my Favorite musician overnight. I guess I just had some growing of my own to do to catch up with you. Now it sounds so strange to hear you singing the older material. It just doesn't sound quite right somehow. I think that's a good thing though. I'd take todays Devin Townsend over the devy of yesteryear any day, both musically and as a person. There's just no explaining how good it makes me feel to see your success and growth as a person and as a performer. Also your a total fox. I respect that you're a married man, but if you weren't I would have some serious intentions toward you that I would probably be way to awkward to properly express. But damn it Id have those fucking intentions for real. Being that you've been married for so long though Id be willing to bet that Mrs. Townsend had a hand in your growing into the awesome person that you are so I gotta respect her too (even if I am jealous). My admiration for you as a performer trumps my infatuation anyday.

Love Devin, he still has the soul of a maniac and I'm happy to see him quite more relaxed since he's older. But nothing compares to the absolute crazy fury of SYL and the solo project is boring af. I miss the old times where Devin was just maniacal audio rage and a bit less hippy shit.

Damn I bashed Samus all this performance, but Detox was done great I mean he is a great drummer, I love his work on Empath and Decrepit Birth but simply he is not Gene. Ryan did this better on Retinal Circus. Sorry Samus
