Hey Tom! Glad you enjoyed the seminar. Devon is definitely the man when it comes to the mastery side of Armwrestling. He shaped my foundations in the sport and I can't express how influential it has been for me. Hope you guys are killing it. And hope to see you soon!
Devon is by far THE most strategic expert when it comes to armwresling, he brings an intellectual dimension to it that is essential ! what a great champion !
Incredibly intelligent man. All his knowledge is so valuable, and he's such a gentleman by sharing it with all. By far my favorite arm wrestler been watching him for years truly a great man on the table and off.
Armwrestling really needs to be an Olympic sport. The global athletic potential it offers is too great for it to not be a part of Olympics. Aside from being a full-blown, highly competitive total body sport and a fantastic form of engaging entertainment for the fans, it is also as much an intellectual duel as it is a physical match. This and countless other times Devon has talked and explained about different techniques, training styles and how mentally proactive you’ve to be to achieve greatness in Armwrestling quite simply shows the complete-spectrum the sport offers.
Thank you brother. I am truly blessed with an amazing amount of support that has allowed me to get this level of content out to the world. Thank you for the support. It truly means the world to me
Best of luck Devon with your upcoming Matches this year. U actually got me working out again after 4 back surgeries. Of course i cant do what i could do but now its just about trying to stay healthy !!
What a great teacher! If I lived in Canada I definitely would try to join your club. I'm a noob that's totally into the sport and training best I can on own. So these videos mean alot to me so thank you brother!
Unbelievable armwrestling knowledge dump. Like drinking armwrestling information from a fire hose. Take a photo of that diagram he drew and make T-shirts. You'd sell them all easily. "The Larrat Armwrestling Map"
11:30 Imagine how good the guy on the left would be if Devon coached him for a couple years. Similar to boxers or mma fighters and their coaches. I wish there was more money in armwrestling because the level of competition would go up dramatically. You would have more of those freak athletes in armwrestling that would normally go to the NFL for bigger paychecks. You would have guys with entire teams behind them. Boggles my mind how no big sponsor like Nike or Reebok has commited to armwrestling yet. It would really push the sport forward.
The flop and king's move drawing is interesting, Michael Todd's career going from one extreme to the other almost makes this like horseshoe theory with a conveniently shaped drawing.
All the best philosophers and successful people in general visualize their physical world using models to help them determine what to do. Great stuff from the champ.
@ 11:57 ish...this is a joint sport....superior joints. High Hookers anyone? Question from Devon's high school gym teacher: "What happens when your joints are too tight?" Devon's answer: "They are hard to smoke."
@@anonanonymous8397 Yeah... but why does it have to be lean muscle? Would gaining some fat hamper flexibility too much? Look at strong man competitors, they all had a lot of body fat. It's much easier to gain muscle if you have body fat, with out it you really need needles to achieve muscle easily.
