I watch so much arm wrestling and fitness content in general that I am used to seeing a lot of large or at least above average size arms and when I go out in public I cannot help but think about the lack of giant arms around me.
@@bigwex1805 That's just fake, fawning happy talk by you, untethered to the facts. Be honest. Devon was totally out of sorts, mojo-less, and crestfallen for many days after his loss to Levan. Special forces is totally irrelevant, dippy. He'd agree with me, not you.
@@jackgaebler1170 Ha. Look how you desperately dodge the main point, though, and try to quibble with an irrelevant collateral matter as a distraction. And your point is not worth making anyway, dummy, because I used "he'd" as in 'he would', which is a prediction, so it obviously has some speculative element. So what. That's obvious and irrelevant, jerky. And I don't need to know him, to make that claim. That's a false presumption by you, snarky. I've seen enough of him online to know. Gosh. You strain to make a point and it's feeble beyond belief, then you probably gave your own weak point a thumbs up to cheerlead your own idiocy.
@@stevehalland6572 getting stronger every week, feels pretty damn good. I really understand now why table time is by far the most important aspect of training in order to become a good armwrestler.
I feel like Devon completely lost most of those poor Germans in the last half of that speech. I thought it was brilliant but even I was a bit confused for a while there lmao
I was doing defensive low hook without knowing why do i need it or how can it help me, it was my first pulling with hook. Usually i'm a toproller. I'm new to this sport but i'm learning very quickly without listening to someone.
The last part is the most important part in armwrestling but i didnt understand very well what he is saying. 1. The people said that: "You are really vulnerable to a hook or defensive hook if you set a "high hand toproll" while you are fighting the height, right? Because you expose the low part of your hand to be cupped". 2. Devons said that : The HIGH HOOK is suposse to be the greatest technique which works against every technique. The reason is because you can (and you NEED) to adapt very fast your high hook (with knucles up) if the oponent do a counter technique. For example, if you are fighting for the height, winning the height, setting your knucles up and setting your high hook, but suddenly the oponent down his hand and try to cup you with a hook you shouldnt be very vulnerable. Because the high hook then allows you to get a quick reaction to transform your high hook to a low hand toproll... without losing your already height advantage, right? Devon is trying to say that if you begin with any other technique that is not a hight hook (height advantage and knucles up) you wont be allowed to do this quicker switch. 3. The high hook: gaining height, gaining knucles up and rolling-cupping after the go with backpressure is the greatest technique of all armwrestling because is the only technique that allows to keep all the advantages that you gained in the setup or the seconds after the go if you really need to change your technique to a hook or to a low hand toproll. But obviously you need to master ALL the other techniques and vectors if you want to switch to them lol.
