You bet! They've been out for awhile now, and used to be sold under the Delta name brand. Either way, it's a nice dado, and not the most expensive either. Best to you.
How well does it do with hardwood veneer plywood? I don’t recall Delta making a high quality dado set back in the day they were still a viable company. I have a Freud 8” Super Dado and was interested in this for a replacement set for a well worn one as it’s a 4-wing chipper, 24 tooth outer blade count and a good price but above that I want the highest quality cuts. Splintery top veneer plywood dados cross-grained are a problem I don’t want to accept for a low price. I build mostly high quality furniture and am wondering if this set is more for general construction or is it really capable of fighting competitors above its price point for my own purposes?
The Dewalt DW7670 is better than a construction blade. I have two sets, and they cut a nearly perfect bottom. The veneer doesn't tear out with or against the grain. I would rate it better than the Forrest Dado King, but not quite as crisp as the Freud SD508. The Infinity Dadonator XL is another jump in quality with 6-wing chippers, but costs more than the dewalt. It makes a difference if you're doing through tenons for an armchair, but not if you're plowing dados for a cabinet. Thanks. @@heystarfish100
Thanks for sharing! Is your DW7670 one of the older ones that were actually 8" or one of the newer ones where they increased the size to 8 1/8"? I see you have a SawStop, and I'm getting mixed information about whether the newer ones work out with the brake spacing (from what I'm reading it sounds like it'll fit the PCS/CNS/ICS, albeit a bit tight, but not the JSS). This set seems like a very good value, provided it'll fit in my PCS.
