Well I was raised righty tighty lefty loosely and a ended up a diesel mechanic... The first 2 were tightening it pushing down to the right, and the DeWalt he was using is by far 350 ft lbs or more was going left. Sooo yes that DeWalt had more than enough power to remove the lug nut
@@Nza420 I got the dcf900 since I needed a high torque and my dcf901 is basically a mid torque in it's own right. (Recently upgraded cuz deals and major car work) Have yet to find anything that the 900 can't break loose. To the point I half threaten my friend to steal his semi's lug nuts while he sleeps.
@@hondaservicecenter hi, the dcf900 is an absolute beast, I thought the dcf899 was a beast, this dcf900 is even stronger, it’s awesome for heavy suspension work,
Bro if u like that crappy 889 the dcf 900 will blow your mind makes that one look like a paper weight same gun with bigger leads and motor much more rpm and bigger spring for hammer it's a beast make that 899 look like a sub compact
Yeah but what about sitting and rusting up awhile lug nuts plus most 1/2 in impacts are suppose to do better than 350 ft lbs stock the dewault air impact i bought was garbage tho my gramps old black and decker kicks ass tho
True, when I first got this truck out of rest after 15 years, this thing would not undo the lugs. I had to put all my weight on the stock lug tool to break them loose. This one will do 1200 reverse and 750 forward. But still, 1200 after 15 years of sitting was not enough.
899 is still a capable impact wrench if your just a Mechanic it will take off 99% of everything on gas engine vehicles and 80% of diesel engine vehicles
@@Nza420 what u going to drive lag bolts with it when dcf 900 rpm will smoke it that's why I said if your a normal gas engine mechanic this is a great tool for that for it begin so old but also said craftsmen high torque is a cheaper better version of dcf 899 and cheaper and comes with 4ah battery and fast charger for 168 as low as 119 on sale and it's way better than dcf 899 and just couple hundred ft-pds from new beast dcf 900
Well, it's what I have. It works really well with the 6AH batteries I have for it and pretty much busts loose everything that I have thrown at it. I am gonna use it as long as it works. It was given to me by my brother, so I really can't complain.
@@Nza420 no doubt use it till it breaks wasn't talking bad about it was just opposite I was saying it's really all u need unless you work on tractor and trailers or old Hondas or tractors for farms it won't remove some them , but them old rusty bolts even new high torque fails at these challenges sometimes and yes with the duel row 21700 cells in 6ah DeWalt batteries r the best and power stack 5ah will get you a little more out of the dcf 899 but isn't enough to get it for that reason that 6ah to me is best all around battery
899 is a bad buy now tho because craftsmen high torque is a updated version of 899 but has bigger leads and hammer and is cheaper by 60 bucks so better wrench and stronger cheaper with craftsmen wrench but dcf 900 is stronger than both by a lot
@@Nza420 you would be stupid to torque them to 350 factory spec is 135 also I said that it is not impressive for that size of impact there are 3/8drive ones that can do 350
