I think somewhere in the educational stuff it says that if you have ten days or less on the transmitter it won't let you pair a new sensor. So if you got the two week warning and tried to change the sensor in four days it won't work.
Dexcom calls me every month prior to the time when I'll need to refresh my supply. I'm on Medicare so that might be different if you are NOT on Medicare. I just don't know. Also, my G5 receiver/sensor just gave me a warning that my sensor's battery was running low. It's near the 3 month time so I'm just assuming that this is normal this being my first 3 month period. But thanks for your video & your tip was useful just in case one needs it.
I'm new at this. I accidently threw away my transmitter along with my sensor when I changed it. I did have a back up transmitter, but why won't the back up transmitter pair with my new sensor? I do not that trying to pair it only ask for my new sensor, but not the replaced transmitter. What step/s do I take to correct this issue?
Isnt it really the software that kills the time of the transmitter and not necessarily the battery? If you use xdrip instead of Dexcom software it will continue to work until the battery truly dies..of course you shouldn't wait for that to happen but it will buy you time to buy the transmitter.
Just wondering if this is for the g5 or g6? I received this same two week warning after having had it on for just over a week. I'm still using the test strips and calibrating to match readings. Just wondering if you suggest calling Dexcom. I'm also currently using the g6 and have all the apps and software in place. This never happened with my g5. I was, however, able to upgrade to a g6 before I even had to worry about the first transmitter and it expiring. Just wondering what you suggest. Terrific videos all the way around. Very informative and hoping your video and suggestions save me an hour long phone call with it having me on hold for 50 of those 60 minutes. Lol. Thanks again.
Hey, I wasted TWO sensors b/c the damm new transmitter sync was not prompted! It asked me ONLY for the new sensor code, NOT ALSO the new transmitter code...I am out 20 days worth of sensors!
Just call Dexcom and tell them there was an issue with the applicator when you tied to change to a new sensor. They will replace any broken ones right away for you.
@@raidencraig Call Dexcom and tell them, they will probably replace the 2 lost sensors. I had an issue with the applicator thing not working twice so i ended up losing 2 sensors. Same as you. 2 days ago Ii called them and told them. They sent me 2 new ones so I am not without it for 20 days. The new replacements just showed up to my door an hour ago. The people at Dexcom are really nice and very helpful, just call them!
If it doesn't alert you that is ending, then how do you put the code information in the receiver? All I can find is the info for the old one in settings.
My first two G6 died before five weeks of use. Third failed to pair. Transmitters died same day I received the initial warning. Anybody else have this issue?
After a few good weeks, mine have been nothing but trouble. Three have expired early, and became inaccurate three days before expiring. When it was time to pair a new transmitter, I went round in circles with nothing happening except wasting two new sensors. $$$$. i spend a LOT of time with tech support, and went back to sticking my fingers. Trying to do anything over the phone with them is really exasperating. I'm not impressed.
