Di Meola Clarke Ponty Song To John Live at Montreux 

The Rite of Strings is the collaborative album by jazz greats Al Di Meola (acoustic guitar), Stanley Clarke (acoustic bass) and Jean-Luc Ponty (acoustic violin), recorded after their world tour in 1995 at Studio 56 in Hollywood, CA. Their live at Montreux 1994 performance of "Song to John" (written by Stanley Clarke, Chick Corea) is dedicated to the memory of jazz saxophonist John Coltrane. The trio later reunited for a performance at the French jazz festival "Jazz in Marciac" in 2007.
