Dr I went to my Dr to get a blood test, my fasting glucose was 4.06mmol/l I said do I have diabetes? they said no, but I have tingling in hands and feet so much every day now for a week. I really think they must have made mistake, question: Can you tell if someone has diabetes just from fasting blood glucose? Secondly, can u cheat the test? I only drank water with a bit of apply cider vinegar for 20hrs prior to the test.

I have a doubt.. That a aged person about 62 years who have been diabetic for 15 years, obese if is on steroids therapy for low cortisol levels how does it affect his blood sugar levels.
Sir there is resistance to insulin in DM2 .. when we give insulin from outside e.g 70/30 it decreases glucose . How ? Why there is not resistant to to insulin that we give out side.. i can't understand this. Kindly explain
See it's pretty simple. Insulin is awake from 6am to 6pm so during that time it functions well like how we do activities when we are awake and it goes to sleep by sunset and melatonin kicks in and when we sleep GH gets secreted and peaks by 2am and gradually decrease in the morning and insulin comes into play this is the normal viscous cycle. In T2DM there is insulin resistance coz of overloading on insulin so resistance develops and due to that resistance -> production decreases. Its like competitive antagonism where Resistance is sitting in the active binding site of insulin. So when we increase the insulin production or level via exogenous insulin we will be able to kick off that resistance and improve sensitivity. Hope it helps u
What if person is on 2 drugs can it be tapper down to just 1 drug or there is no going back once you start 2 drugs and will have to go forward and not back ? Help
