yea one of the main things i love about diablo 2 is admiring all the attributes of the items. seeing a big list of attributes is like seeing a private collection
Been listening to D3 soundtrack, barely noticed it, bored out of my mind. This comes on and I perk up. "Oh hey this is great...wait... I recognize this music." Yup. D2.
I remember that this game was scary for me because I had to play alone, it only got a little bit more bearable when I got a harpy companion wich made me feel a little bit less alone I also played the druid just to be less scared.
i completely agree with Landshark, diablo 1 was great because of how dark it was and even though Diablo 2 wasnt as dark it was still great. Blizzard better make D3 more dark and not so cartoonish looking. I also dont like the new inventory they added because the items are so small, When the items were big u can really see them and appreciate them more!
@shadowgeyser For me, the scariest places in D2 were the tombs in Act 2, hands down. Act 1 never scared me much, because it's simply not that hard. Many a time have I desperately avoided opening the door into a room in Act II in blind fear of what lurked behind it. And unlike in Act 1, my fears were frequently justified.
your life was not as good as mine ;) I started at 6 year old to play this game and im still playing it today sometime... I played this game 8 years without playing a lot of other games... I can say this game is the biggest part of my life
My mom wouldnt buy me diablo 1 because she's super religious. 4 Years later, my grandma bought me diablo 2. Thanks grandma for introducing me to the best gaming series ever created.

I was 8 when I got introduced to Diablo by my 4 year older niece . I was scared of almost all the creatures. including the fallens and the shaman , but c'mon i was a kiddo man. then I got Cancer , leukemie , bloodshit , then i got healed . and now , when I am 19 years old , going for the 20 , the same fucking game , with the blood and gore , and itemlooting. the music was just in it's whole . SO . SICK. it's a damn shame i played it so much it feels like pacman , nothing special > Andy , baal
I still know, I was smaller though, I was nervous as hell when I was at level catacombs 4. When I saw Andariel, I pressed the ALT +F4 button, good times.
@westersofar Better, I don't think so. It may be different. Taking into account the differences between games in time of Diablo and nowadays: Old games: Gameplay > Graphics New generation games: Gameplay < Graphics
@Kronos21669 I'm not saying which one has better graphics. What i'm saying is that nowadays, games are created thinking about graphics principally and in most of the cases, instead of gameplay. Of course for its time they were excellent graphics. When I was a boy I thought it was one of the best games ever, and I still think so.
It's as if dark caves weren't bad enough, the jail area was very tricky. You didn't know what would pop out around the corner, not to mention that some monsters could attack you from behind the bars.
itl be ok. D3 took a whole new feel which will never come near D2.. like every other game. But it isnt going to be a bad feel. Instead of that atmospheric feeling in d3 you will get more of the this is cool feeling. Different, but not the worst.
@Xenomorphism I died many many times, that thing wouldnt leave me alone lol, NOTE: Important to kill everything in room before tackling that butcher, nothing more funny than running and having the little minions or as I refer to them as being ankle biters running after you to!
Listen music in D1 (all tracks) it is like Matt Uelmen stole music tape from Satan. D2 is also good in that part especially when i was in act4 you know fortress surrounded by hell environment. Very good Atmosphere.

Diablo 2 isn't that scary, never was for me. For the first time it was a bit tense and it's still tense when you start Hell difficulty with a not-so-high level character though. But it's more like survival horror; it's not the goosebumps you get from the overall feel, but rather the fear that when you open that door you'll find something way more than you can handle. Diablo 2's death system is a bit too forgiving for single-player though. Nevertheless, best H&S game ever made! Great everything.
@ShadesofEb0ny I don't want any fucking trumpets too, just schizophrenic atmosphere. Not hero-game with maiming and blasting full-of-equipment characters like in Blade 3 movie, where Wesley Snipes kills everything with rhapsody, as proud as a peacock, american style
@UltimateDiablo3Fan Too bad the team that made d1+2 are not making 3, same applies to the music composer. Diablo 3 might still be alright but Blizzard really went down the shitter long ago.
have u seen Diablo III? i think thats more fun.. because its lighter outside and its more fun to play sometimes... beginning to look like WoW.. but if they should make a 4th i think that would be a big flop -.-

Yes. The red Diablo on the picture of this youtube is so dark and gritty. No - Diablo 2 was extremely vibrant and colorful game. On par with World of Warcraft.
