F that, they got me once at the launch hypetrain, 40$ for a dlc that delivers maybe 10% of content is insane. I will be playing poe 1 and bg3 untill poe2...
I've always expected something along the lines of a Zakarum Zealot or Priest from the Kurast jungle in Diablo 2. The Zealots back then wielded two handed polearms.

Dlc endgame will be called Tides of Hell that are red zones in the world and you go there to kill creatures and collect crystal things called embers to unlock caches. So fun
I believe a datamine showed only 1 new skill per class which seems kinda weak to me. I feel like they need to at least add more variations to the skill twigs.
I wonder how the raid will be tuned. In a game like D4, it sounds like it would be VERY difficult to make it accessible to a decent percent of players while not making it extremely easy to people running full meta builds. Maybe it will be tuned around meta builds and is only expected to be completed by high-end players to receive unique rewards or even cosmetics? Or maybe there’s even a way to scale the difficulty and rewards? I’m interested to see how they approach it
@@PineapplePizzaBiS cause they generally gives you special rewards that you have to farm doing that. So instead of nolifing a weekend you have to play everyday since they are usually capped
@@ClaudioBramby That sounds more of a lack of self control issue than a system forcing players to play. I understand your point, but that's on the assumption the rewards will be essential to end game activities or your own characters power level.
What we should have learned is not to pre order new games. Expansions for games that are already good? I don't see the issue so much. (Famous last words, yeah yeah).
@@Pixelsoepwhat game is already good cuz it’s definitely not this one. Itemization is still garbage, just less cluttered. Crafting is non existent, adding a 2 limited rng attributes is the dumbest down crafting method. Endgame? What endgame? All you have is a fast leveling and item find experience which results in no motivation to continue playing because you have a fully lvled and geared character with nothing left to do. That’s not even getting into it other issues about gameplay, like boss fights, skill trees, balancing etc. what a joke.
I really hope these "raids" become more than "you spam and I spam and we all spam" but give active roles. Person A unlocks a door for person B, who holds a pressure plate so that person C can take down the boss's shield... etc.
Mercs remind me of the companions in D3. Cant wait to see what its all about. Actually makes me.excited for the expansion. The co-op sounds nice too. Maybe new ubers that drop good loot?
Ultimate at keast gives the $20 season pass and 3000 platinum ($30 worth) so it's basically the same price as just the expansion if you already buy season passes
I feel like people with the game already are getting up charged for the standard edition dlc, but if u look on the store theres a bundle of the game and the dlc thts $70 which is the price of the game in general without the dlc
The problem I have with a raiding system is that if the gear isn’t much, much better then you can already get, no one will do it. But if you do make the gear from raids so much better, then it means that if you don’t do raids then your gear will always be 2nd shelf.
I will at least wait until 1-2 weeks after it comes out and I saw if it's worth it. Because S4 was at least a good direction for the game, but yes I'm also burned from the release of the game

i sont understand now i play from xbox gamepass now i only have base game and acces to expansion areas? or the expansion free the pack is just cosmetics?
I hope they will implement some sort of group finder, last thing i want to have on my console is to talk on chat to group with people lol, if no group finder I will never touch it
I also remember this.... I like the wings and wanted them, but I recall it being stated along with the whole "this game is gritty and dark themed, and wings may not fit into that"
I swear they said this as well. Saying that though, these wings don't look too over the top or anything. Honestly though those, or anything in ultimate edition makes me want to the spend the extra $50 over the base for the dlc.
I think if you're not planning on going with standard and you also pay for premium battle passes, ultimate is the move. The $30 difference is what you'd pay for 3 battle passes anyway and you get the cosmetics as a bonus. If cosmetics and premium battle passes don't interest you, then go with standard.
yeah it's definitely a terrible name for a poorly-defined class. they seem to just be determined to flaunt traditional archetypes... which just makes everything bland. no need to reinvent the wheel. I'd rather they just brought witchdoctor back, or monk, or paladin... anything really. Hunter would have fit. There are enough possibilities without stretching to come up with something "new" that nobody understands. Poor design/branding.
It's crazy how loud the fans have been screaming for a Paladin/Crusader but they kept ignoring us. I held out hope that "ok they said no to the Paladin but they might introduce a new version of a holy knight class". Tbh I'd settle for an Amazon but they completely killed that notion. I'm on the fence about the dlc. I know that in POE2 I can play what I want with MORE skill options.
Think Blizzard would allow my battle pass from pre-ordering to be used towards the expansion? They nearly got me to use it this season, but I've been holding out specifically for different mount types and pets. Everyone knew this was coming, right?
Can people stop calling this new activity "raids"? There will be no raids in D4. It is a simple game without different roles like tank, healer, dps... This will be just simple group/party activity rather than solo, as everything else in this game so far.
Guess it's truly mask off at this point that this was really D3.5 the whole time, pets, wings, D3 end game systems...aspects being D3 sets. Trailer was dope but it's still missing some gothic horror elements...it's gory sure...but i'm not getting any demonic spooky vibes still. Game is a lot better overall since launch but my god leaning into D3 was not what I was hoping for.
So its a buff character like the monk and paladin probably. Hopefully the companions are like d2 and not d3. I hope the new abilities are variants of the current ones like d3s variant system with different hydra types, etc. that was one of the few things i miss from d3
I think the mass fallout of people canceling WoW subs due to the three-day early access. Has made ActiBlizz wary of putting that in their pre-orders now. I'm one of said people. Neither retail nor SoD were doing well to hold my attention. That announcement on the pre-orders was the final nail for me.
Also BTW... They did say previously there will never be wings as cosmetic item for charecters 😂😂 so much for that promise. Remember they also said there will never be pay for power. Now I won't be surprised if they say charecters get special abilities from contents of expansion 😅
You'll have to show me where they said there'd never be wings as a cosmetic, and so far they've kept the pay for power promise so I'm not sure why you're thinking suddenly they changed. They could have locked pets behind the expansion which some would say is "power" (I wouldn't), and yet they didn't.
@@CJShrader what's your guarantee that they won't add a quest locked behind expansion that adds bonus to each class like the ones you do as specialization quest for each class. As for wings they did state in a campfire chat during early days of launch time that wings Don't match with their so called gothich theme game so they don't plan on adding wings as cosmetics

I'm having a hard time justifying another $40 for a lot of content that I feel should have been in the game at launch. That would be $120+ in 16 months for a game that has been mostly underwhelming since launch. Enjoyed your video, DM.
The wings were actually the least-enticing part of the ultimate edition for me lol. I much preferred D3 wings. In D3, the wings were big and powerful looking. These new wings look more like baby wings
man cant wait to pre order DLC based on 0 gameplay footage of the core features. but atleast im gonna get pets, wings and a mount. oh and some diablo immortal stuff. GREAT!
Diabo 4's 4th season has brought me almost back to just playing 4 over 3. I hope the spiritborn is able to fill the witch doctor shaped hole 4 has though.
