I actually prefer lofi background music for boss fights because realistically the voice lines during a fight are repeated 1000 times plus in our playtime and gets annoying lofi music wears on you less.
Look at fantastic pixel castle. Ghost says they want to have 100 classes. Because people want choices. Diablo has 5 classes it's lame as shit. It should have 20-25 classes by now
If a game mode is fun, people will play it regardless of the rewards. Good rewards are an additional plus. If a game mode is boring, but gives good rewards, people will still do it, but will not be happy about it and eventually stop doing it and be upset with the product. Increasing the rewards will help people tolerate it, but it usually will end up with people being unhappy.
dogshit game is a dogshit game no matter how many changes you apply especially since people wasted a truck load of money on it only to get mt's shoved into their face
I played Loot Reborn. I got to lvl 100. It was pretty fun. But, the pit is just boring and bricking items that you really wanted to use via tempering is just infuriating. So, I'm back to POE. Definitely not planning on shelling out money for the expansion. Not when POE 2 is on the horizon.
Taking four steps down and one step up is not considered an improvement. It's still 3 steps away from where it started. It means they'll have to input 3 times as much effort to fix the game just to get back to the norm. I am so tired of devs screwing up a game, fixing it and calling it an improvement. It's not an improvement, it's putting it right back where it started which is D3 with a different skin.
As a casual player (a few times a week for 2 hours or so each) I have enjoyed season 4. Last week I finally beat Uber Duriel and Anduriel. I am still trying to get my 4th spark to craft an HC. So as you can see for me the season content has lasted and kept me engaged. All the things are cool Helltides, whispering tree, Pits etc. I'm enjoying the Bash Bleed Barb easy play style and just having a good time. I have a couple of minor complaints, drop more Stygian Stones. I can't grind for 8 hours a day to get them. Out of 10 Pit runs 101 I often get NONE. World Boss rarely any. I had a bunch drop when i completed Iron wolves which got me to Duriel, then he dropped some so I could get to Andy. This makes it real hard for us casual folks to grind for Ubers. Not only that but mucus eggs and Shards (sharts) are a pain in the ass to run back and forth to collect this crap. Those are my only complaints. So that's my 2 cents as a casual player.
Elden Ring or Dark Souls? Elden Ring was game of the year 2 years ago, not 10. Dark Souls, the mother of souls-like games, came out in the time frame you are talking about.
I sometimes think about how funny it is that Diablo 1 actually is actually turn based combat. They designed it as turn based, then didn't like how it felt, and in order to save time they just sped up the turns to the point where it seems like it is real time combat. I think it is safe to say that was a good call.
He means in the art styling. Colour tone. Palette. D4 is very much like D2 in that sense. Which I'm happy for. D3 was artistically styled as warcraft clone
How can you say diablo was a huge W for blizzard. was a huge W for their marketing team, but what about the players that received a unfinished product for ~ 100 bucks that took 4 seasons to be somewhat fun. They asked for all this money for a unfinished product, meanwhile we have poe 2 coming up FREE TO PLAY. Diablo 4 might be improving sure but D4 bad meme remains for a reason
DM, if you don’t like it…just give me your Crest and Tyrael’s Might. I have been playing since launch and have never seen an Uber until I made four characters and built one.
As a player in 90's i can tell you that almost nobody played it as arcade after a month. In those times you indeed forgot the main game after some weeks and just go straight to battlenet, or online mode where you can change dificulty (you could even can change your name). Then, you had clans and as a "legit" player my self i fought cheaters and duppers with a 3rd party program called Jarulf's something.... it was a really complex system at the date and indeed i don't remember much the 1 player game experiences but the online, clans, cheaters, teleport fireball mages, the unaffordable wirt items (RIP), the damn dupes of the deadly obsidian ring of the zodiac and the legit King's sword of haste (that grisworld sold). it was almost as complex as d2 battlenet that i been playing 25 years now. Cheers!
People who keep thinking the next realease from blizzard, bethesda, ea or god knows what is going to be different are bound to post these 'honest 1 year review' with sour faces on a thumbnail
It's a classic Beular video. . Lots of talk about nothing with a click bait title that never delivers. I'm no D4 fan but even I'm bored of him riding the hate train now.
The original D2 (not remaster) was sooo loved the modding community made overhaul mods (That are fantastic) to keep it fun and fresh. I highly recommend giving it a try if you can.
if diablo 3 and diablo 4 were like this, they would have had at least 10 times more players, or rather fans, today's young people don't understand what the quality of diablo 1 means, we played it in the 2000s, maybe even from 1996, I would play today the same as then, except that I don't know how to make the game look 4:3 on widescreen
I started playign the season a few days ago, lvl 62 in wt4 currently.....yeah im bored af. There doesnt even seem any point to grinding better gear. the interface looks liek a mobile game. The gameplay and graphics are not bad, but its not enough to keep you engaged. Im gonan uninstall and never look back. the fact they are releasing a goddanm expansion 1 year after launch is a slap in the face to anyoen who bought the pre-sale. blizz can eat a dick
