I think the corpse opening not working is a ptera problem, iirc ptera bodies have no bones and stuff so you can't open them up, but trashing used to work so idk
Thrashing doesn't work with pteras too, i tried it many times as a utah. The animation is cool though so i keep thrashing pteras whenever the opportunity presents itself
@@toastfire9969 hmm, usually a big update like this comes 3 times a year, maybe 2. But small updates are a little frequent, like Quality of Life, bug fixes, etc.
this new playable seems great, but i just get griefed by older dibbles since i cant run away from them. I spend like 10 min getting to the sanctuary just to get killed by my own species
l think devolopers dont give a (you know what l said here) about deinos. Herbs just chose refill water when eating plant and at rainy weather then drink every 2 day just once. Same old story nerf deino buff others, nerf deino again good job devs! Deinos already cant able to find food because of the map desing (crossing bridges, big map, unreacable drink spots, other silly and wrong things) and they still nerf it l mean what a briliant idea!
I tried the "receive water when raining" and it's super good- I was like 30% water and a simple rain filled me back to 80%. Of course, the values are at the maximum when we talk about mutations, but still, was impressive
some of those mutations, regardless of their value, seem a little out of the spirit of a survival game of like this one. i'm not too sure i like that mechanic, especially with things like "do more damage to dinos of the same species", i feel like it'll just breed more mixpacking toxic BS on the servers. i like this game because it simulates the fear of being a wild animal fairly well. just dont want it to turn into call of duty or fortnite is all... lol, i guess we'll see what happens though.
Mutations are just fine and it's still in development, its the whole mix packing thing going around in dinosaur games, being cannibal doesn't have to do anything with it, a carno can mix pack with Omni to hunt another carno.
@@KougaArtthey did say they boosted all the mutation values to the largest capacity or something like that for testing reasons and they don’t want combat-based buffs to be all that good so I bet that’ll be drastically different on the live branch
@@collinharris4848 cuz every fkn herbivore always teams with it And cuz before this u where able to fight them as cera wich is now down the Drain How tf can u not complain about it
@@Thund3rBirdthey need to get rid of the fast draining water for deino, it's unrealistic and doesn't even help balance the game, plus it'd give more reason for deino players to explore the ocean
Dibble looks really good and I like hoow the mutations add a sort of constant progression to the game so all gameplay feels meaningful and rewarding, although I do hope they remove or adjust sone of the ones that are specific to fighting your own species so it doesn't become too easy to gatekeep certain creatures on servers
Disslike the mutations very very much. There shouldnt be even a single combat mutations because it simple breaks the balancing and you cannot learn the game proberly because you have to consider 15 mutations that play a big role in a fight. Mutations should just make survival easier: Scent, Food, Water, diets...
I feel like they should remove the east plains migration zone for dibble imo or at least give it an eastern spawn point but from what I experienced it seems pretty good
It really is, and something like this was long overdue. Stego might be overpowered, but it's one of the blandest animals in the game as far as abilities and move sets go. It still needs more going for it (IMO, they gotta do SOMETHING interesting with its plates,) but this is a good start.
Groww up take all day and then canibals Ho shud not be in gamę atack you onle atehr dinos shud eat you atakc you own kid shud be team and never be agresive to own dinos like Play croco all.time Die from ownnkidd wtf
Stego in real life cent atack and mogę same time he need stend hard on ground to do taił atacks same the croco Dino ar to low to ground to be hit by stego and they got X3 biger bit then t rex
I don’t think doing increased damage to your species seems like a fair perk. That certainly needs changed I thought Meta gaming wasn’t going to be a thing anymore?
5:29 Haven't carnivores always been able to dig out the rabbit burrows? Or was it only the Omni and Ptera (haven't tried the others)? You basically just melee the burrow and force the rabbit out. It was just hard to find the burrows themselves in the grass. It was much easier to spot them as Ptera.
@@coltonrivet3850 Yes. They are basically green rocks with a hole (the entrance). Galli's mini game will spawn these same burrows but they will spawn other things like compis, frogs and crabs. The difference is that Galli will dig them out with E rather than hitting it like 5 times. I just watched a video about the devblog and the reason it says "All carnivores can dig out burrows" is to probably add the ability to dig them with E and make it easier to detect them but they didn't say how. There will be small dinos in the burrows too, most likely AI.
"We have a new way to open a body... it isn't working properly though." GASP, something isn't working properly on The Isle?! I'm generally shocked, surprised, caught off guard, discombobulated... **opens a thesaurus** astonished, bewildered, startled, stunned, and astounded! The mutations are sick! And Dibble is so perfect lol!
Quick, cosy and very informative. Just found this channel - thanks for the help and the insight :) I hope they fix the organ thing, i got the long tube the other day, but no clue how when grabbing it from a dead body.
I hope they revert the official servers to their previous state like they did before like na 7 or EU 4 for examples. I couldn't join into any good lobby with like lobbies giving me +200 ping and the best one is always queued up with like 20 if not 37 players waiting
Although the combat and stam is worse The Isle has so much more longevity than Path of Titans as the survival and growth is so on point compared to being an acorn picker that gets food for free everytime.
Com certeza as mutações irão para as crias! Realmente seria um incentivo grande, mesmo se o valor da mutação fosse menorzinho. Valeu pelo comentário! ❤️
i see alot of people complaining about mix packing and i myself don't like it neither and also complain about it but in reality, there's mix packing in real life too not just on the isle, look at coyote and badgers, clearly mix packing to just to hunt down ground hogs more effectively or look at crows and wolves , they actually mix pack alot in real life and hunt down elk together like nobody's tomorrow, it sucks in the isle but the reality is that it actually is a mechanic that actually reflects real life more than any other mechanic on the entire game
I would not call any of those examples mixpacking... crows don't hunt, they lead the wolves and then eat the scraps. coyotes and badgers don't always do that but when they do it's beneficial to them both, both of these are mutualism! mixpacking is a game specific term and can't apply to them, but also it's not mixpacking when there's evidence of them grouping together... you wouldn't call a herd a bunch of mixpackers, would you?
@@AMD_H.16 unfortunatly im not, just lok it up here in youtube, animals in real life mix pack to hunt down other animals, I personally cant stand it when coming across mix packers in the game and make it my business to wipe them out but I still come to the terms that these things happen for real too in real life so makes me look at it from it just being a feature of the game and it helps me from being so pissed off about mix packers, but still if I catch you as a raptor walking around with a stego, your done
@@antwarior What you are saying is true! Some dinos in game can mix pack for example an all herbivore herd. A raptor and stego doesn't make sense at all so that is fair game to ruin them. Most people who mix pack are not doing it like reality will have it unfortunately. So, what I am saying is all the people who mix pack and it isnt realistic can get their butt kicks XD
@@Rasaradafsa yeah im with you on that definitely, if I catch a raptor with a herby, he's done, I play as raptor a lot and I am usually running a pack of raptors so yeah and the steg will be done as well if caught, but a raptor and a carno are all good in my eyes even tho its still annoying as hell and not something I would ever do
I wished they made genetic mutations dependent on breeding to encourage team play and nesting. Maybe also ad a tier system to it. F-A, maybe S for perfect and guaranteed transfer to offspring. A genetic up-breeding system where the genetics of the parents, would give a chance of giving it to their offspring. Then the diets of the parents while breeding will give another chance buff to give genetics to the offspring. And then the diet of the newborn to give a chance buff for genetics. Maybe make dinosaurs sniff each other to see what genetics they have for breeding. And maybe let them mark their territory to advertise their genetics for breeding. Some species might even have a Alpha system where they have to fight their own species to become fertile males. They should also change the egg spawn system and chat so people can advertise their genetically upgraded eggs. This way they'll ad some sort of dinosaur dating sim into the game. It gives people more to do once grown. And there would actually be a reason for nesting.
will be added, for now the only mutation I think is breaking the game is the one that gives you higher damage against same species. It encourages cannibalism
