There really doesn't need to be more than 3 apex predators. Rex for brawling, bonebreak, and pins/grappling Giga for bleed, pursuit hunting, and wearing down opponents and Spino, a semi-aquatic tank with robust arms for grabbing/drowning The Isle's roster already has way too many redundant dinosaurs as is, but if I had to add another carnivore, I'd make it a sub-apex along the lines of Sucho and Acro, like Maip.
Fully agree, there should be 3 apexs focusing on different styles, the issue is that none of the species play that different besides the status the give, it would be cool if the combat was more varied, like if Grabbing was even an option
I disagree. Carcharodontosaurus could be introduced as solely an apex hunter that does more damage to other apexes than smaller dinosaurs. You could also have a specific diet for them made up of other apexes, which includes herbivore apexes like camarasaurus, trike, apatosaurus, etc. They'd have lots of HP and can take more damage from apex dinosaurs than practically everything else. Of course this would only apply to adults, as the younger ones could eat everything else.
This, I agree with everything said. Each carnivorous apex would fit their niche perfectly. Unfortunately Carch wouldn’t have much to differentiate itself from Giga, Rex, or Acro even. It’s just a smaller Giga and that’s probably how it would be played as if it’s even added.
There are so many other prehistoric animals that would be worthy of adding unique playstyles. A mid-tier ankylosaur, koolasuchus, carbonemys (I would die for a large, predatory river turtle in a dinosaur survival game.) Instead, people want a doppelganger giga.
If Carchar is supposed to be fast apex, why not Giga? + Why is Rex again so fast? My idea for it was a mechanic where it slowly crushed the bones of its prey after grabbing it as it progressively applied more and more pressure to whatever limb it is grabbing. It could even inflict a special kind of bone break from it.
I have always disliked the idea of carchar, it’s just giga but uhhh it’s just giga actually. Maip would be such a fun and unique playable tho, I wish we had a megaraptor
I can see Concavenator overlapping with Dilophosaurus, but it can have some original play-styles like maybe a pack hunter like modern lions? Or even a really bad diver that only stays in the waters to ambush things above, but i can see that getting outcompeted by Deinosuchus

People are completely ok with playing a copy and paste of classes so long as they look even ''slightly'' different from its counterpart, even tho we all know they're not going to stick with them and soon as something just as OP comes along they'll switch to it. All people want to do is bloat the roster like you said and have about 100+ classes when only 9 are probably going to be played lmao. They just want The isle to be like POT. Also I agree, a giant raptor species would be much more better since it'll probably be able to jump, something that giant therapods can't even do lol.
omni is based off of a bigger estimate of utah raptor which is among the largest dromeosaurids. if u mean megaraptora, then the biggest one, maip was only about double the heigh of a person and probably wouldn't be able to square up with the isle apexes as it evolved from lower in the food chain to a relative apex position due to the absence of competition
@@orinaoz8686 We dont need anymore apexes, apexes should be rare and on their own, each species having at least 4. Carnivores have Acro, Giga, Spino, Deino and Rex. Herbivores have Stego, Theri, Anky, Shant and Trike, Omnivores possibly having Deinochier as their one and only apex to semi apex. Personally I think the Devs should focus more on the little guys because they're far more fun and have more interactions with the rest of the roster. All those classes I named above are all the same in one aspect, they cant jump, they cant climb...They all might do different tricks, but their anatomy is almost all the same were they're severally limited in their freedom. (Lets see any of those big chunguses jump lol) At least with a hefty raptor, maybe it'll still be able to jump and be flexible, giving it a lot more options and interactions with the environment.

The game is already frustrating enough with the current apexes, I rather not see people get their hands on more in the Officials. I dont care what options they give players in Unofficial servers, so long as they make them AI in Officials.
if i must add an other large/apex carnivore it would either be maip (more unique anatomy and attack pattern possibilities) or chilantaisaurus (bigger than maip, light build so probably fast, and longer arms than carcharodontosaurus, also super underrated theropod)
idk why but i would add yangchuanosaurus, i just like the idea of making it a fast and strong apex capable of bashing, shaking, tearing and holding onto flesh like a huge pitbull
I think this and the roster bload issue in general can be solved by making certain extra playables only avalibile for community servers, like Carcharadontosaurus itself, also God I hate typing that name I wish I just copy pasted from the video title. Anyway, maybe they can give Carcharadontosaurus a more realistic design so people who don't enjoy the crocodile like armor and tail of the Giga can go to a community server that has Carcharadontosaurus enabled and play it instead. Edit: Also yea I agree a 5 ton Maip would be a better option than the Carcharadontosaurus.
The isle doesn’t need like 70% of its roster. People don’t understand that roster bloat is just objectively bad for the game and that you can’t just make every creature unique through “niche partitioning” lmfao.
100% agreed, since they have a growth system, they really can just reduce the roster of playables now and have the rest be CPU's i would say good playables should be different from 1 another, if they are SET on having the 3 largest theropods be playable then i think the playable carnivores should be . Tyrannosaurus . Giganotosaurus . Spinosaurus . Utahraptor we really don't NEED the mid carnivores if the apexes are mid carnivores 1/2 way in, plus it allows you to gauge your progress, if you can take on an allosaurus then you might not be strong enough for an acrocanthosaurus
I always thought of charchar as the Luigi to giga's Mario if that makes sense. Basically the same animal with slight advantages and disadvantages in certain areas. If they add it as that I won't really have a problem with it. I think alberto is actually the problematic one if anything. It's basically meant to throw it's weight around and suffocate animals. This really doesn't make sense for acro when animals like rex and giga exist. How are you gonna do that to animals that are basically you but bigger? It should have stayed as the chunkier allo in my opinion. If I had to add a new big theropod it would either be maip or tarbosaurus. And yeah tarbosaurus has the same issues as acro and sucho of being a discount apex but I say if sucho can work then the other two should as well. I think either all of them should be in the game or none of them should. If you're going to make a pseudo apex tier, you should at least flesh it out so that those animals have more matchups in their size range.
Carcharo would be fine only AFTER they add all the other dinos we've been waiting for like allo, sucho, giga, spino, rex, acro... you know all the fellas from legacy, and after that in my opinion they can throw in any dino to be honest as long as it's somewhat balanced, but wrapping this up, even if they add Carcharo that's gonna be YEARS of waiting, realistically we need to wait atleast 5-7 years before they add "all" the dinos from legacy in evrima, idk what i'm rambling about, have a nice day lol
I also had an idea for Maip for the isle (tho I came up with the idea of replacing Alberta) make it a fast assassin type, good speed but because magaraptors are known to have used their arms for killing than their mouth make it able to slow down prey with their grapple (using their mouth) on the run and then have their claws be able to inflict massive huge dmg once the prey is slowed down/ low on stam with its piercing claws. also, an idea I had would be a stance similar to the Ceratopsians where Maip can sidestep attacks and to try and get a better hit in. (tho I wouldn't say I like this idea as much as the other one)
As some other comments say, adding it as a skin / echo for the Giga is the best way to go, but even then, adding species for the sake of adding them it's just a bad idea. I would honestly like to see something like a saurophaganax. Its big but not that heavy and more on the agile side. basically a bigger Allo. It could be used as an ambush predator for bigger carnivores like rex. But honetly i think the build of an bigger allo would be quite unfair in the roster. Things like cera would just be an easy meal and it would be pretty unbalanced so idk

Something we need to take into account is that Server owners are going to be able to pick and choose between different species for there servers. I think the animal souly existing in the game will allow server owners to build specific real life ecosystems like the Kemkem beds. The animal won't be playable on Official servers anyway so simply having it exist as an animal to choose for your server I can get behind. Let's say you want to make a server where everyone plays as an animal from a specific fossil bed like for example the kemkem fossil beds. Playables would be restricted to the animals that lived there, Paralititan, Ouranosaurus, Spinosaurus, Carcharodontosaurus etc. I think simply having the option of that species to choose to have in your server is fine, if a server owner doesn't like it being in game just don't let people play as it. Another option is that it could simply be a cosmetic choice where it functions the same as a giga but you just play it because it looks a bit different

I think there might be a lore reason for the big apex carnivore roster. We can't forget about the strains. For a company building monsters like the hypos, it would actually make perfect sense for them to resurrect carchar if they already have the others as well. Game design wise, idk. There's still multiple ways to make an unique apex. If giga is to bleed and rex it to maul then perhaps carchar is to be high stam endurance hunter. Something sneakier and more sinister. Not as fast as giga, not as strong as rex, but something that will keep you running till you exhaust yourself to death. If I had to add a dinosaur it would be coelo. If it could be an amphibian, as we do not have those IN ANY of these games it would be prionosuchus. Big salamander, high speed, perhaps with toxic mucus.
I know this MIGHT not be a great idea but becs TI community is just so humble and loving towards other people's opinion..... I think carcha should be an apex SCAVENGER, think about it having a cerato on steroids would be SICK (ofc with some distinct features) AND it could have a unique trait where its hunger depletes far quicker than most apexes and a unique bite that cera has but different
Such a good point. Adding carcharodontosaurus is like adding saurophagonax. Like carchar, it is very similar to another dinosaur and has no need to be in the game. Especially because of the fact that The Isle roster is oversized enough as it is. Nice video, and it's good to see you back again.

if i were to add a new somewhat strong carni, i wouldn't add another apex. i would go with something smaller, but still big like a torvo. it would be possibly a bit bigger than an alberto, and since it ranged from 3.6 tons to 4.5 tons i think it would be a great replacement for carch. he has some claw and a kinda slim build so this would basically be a fast unerdog apex with somewhat good bleeding abilities, basically what acro was in legacy

I mean there have been isotope studies done that showed a carchar actually did have a not insignificant amount of fish in it's diet...semi aquatic carchar is still a stupid idea as the one in the study was definitely just scavenging fish that were washed up.
If i could add a giant terrestial carnivore in the game i would most DEFINITELY choose an animal like Barinasuchus, Barinasuchus would basically be the medium sized Pseudo apex that specializes in pursuing its prey for a long time until its prey runs out of stamina, once its prey runs out of stamina Barinasuchus just pounces on it like a modern day feline and also grapples it like one. This Play-Style would make Barinasuchus a small/medium game pursuit predator and thats something unqiue from the roster we havent really seen, and obviously Barinasuchus should be able to outrun most of the apex predators, if it cant then it just uses its stamina.
I stand by the fact that prior extinction planned this kinda thing the best via not only adding carcha instead of giga but adding giga as a skin for it same with dreadnaughtus being planned but argent being planned as a skin for dreadnoughtus
Stfu fanboy that game is ass cheeks. Attacks are instant and cooldowns are short so combat is braindead, the graphics are good FOR ROBLOX. Half the dinos don't even have abilities, the devs are greedy as fuck, the roster is poorly thought out, AND they are planning on having EVEN MORE dinos than the isle. I used to love that game back in alpha but there's a reason it only gets 300 players active now. It sucks ASS.
I would add Yutyrannus personally just cos I love it and I think that the devs could do something interesting with a protective covering of feathers. It would also feel a bit different due to the large difference in overall character design. Edit: I don't actually think the roster needs to become any bigger personally but if I had to add something this would be it for the carnivores
A bigger raptor who could pounce just like omni but do considerable amount of bleed seems really cool (Of course i dont count the balance problems thats a whole different case lol)
I never understood the carcharodontosaurus pick, I get both it and giga dwarf acro in size but when you look at the two of them together they are pretty much the same size and same look it would be hard to differentiate between them.
I remember having a vague idea I came up with for some mechanics to give CharChar if they are absolute on adding it (kills me that my fav dino just adds to the bloat). iirc was something like, CharChar would be the more stealthy focused one of the apexes. It'd have a normal bite that wouldn't give much bleed damage (certainly lower than Giga's) and perhaps being the weakest apex bite overall. But, in return it'd have a recharging special ability to imbed teeth into prey that'd break off and remain in the animal to give much more bleeding or maybe some made up special effect as it either moved and/or struggled. Also thought maybe having it be one of the more faster apexes but that'd be op probably. Basically just playing into the name of it having shark like teeth ig. It'd still be part of the bleeder niche unfortunately but would hope the mechanics and playstyle could give it some reason to play over others.

another thing with megaraptors, current study suggest they are tyrannosauroids. so basically, one lineage of tyrannosauroids picked arms over mouth while the tyrannosaurids picked mouth over arms. pretty interesting honestly
For the Maip I can see it being able to grab other big dinos and limit their movement as you can bite and they have to wriggle free. Could be a fun (but hard) thing to add in
I would personaly add Bahariasaurus because it looks unique, you don't see it often and i am sure you could make it have a different enough play style than carcar.
They could do this. Giganoto: Faster than other large theropods T-rex: biteforce Spino: fishing mechanic Carcharodo: inflicts more/higher bleed stat than others listed. Now we have here unique suggestion how to make these dinos have different playstyle.
If i could add another apex carnivore to the roster it would be Pycnonemosaurus or Titanovenator It would add much needed diversity to the abelisaurids with small, medium and large options (Rugops, Carno and this new abelisaur.) Abelisaurs in the isle are already known for being fast, rugops can keep being the most agile at the cost of overall speed (as it is shown being able to maneuver around many obstacles while spriting in the concept art), carno can remain as the perfect mix of speed and agility, and this new larger abelisaur can have the fastest speed once it gets going, but at the cost of agility, being the most unforgiving when readjusting its direction (maybe in a similar way to how og carno felt)
I mean servers will be able to choose which dinosaurs are playable so more dinos will just help make community servers be unique. Also as a player there isn’t much reason to worry about developer spending money on the development unless wit seems to be on the brink of collapse
Maip would be a PERFECT 5th apex, filling the APEX niche of a pack hunter: Rex grabs and crushes things in a slightly smaller weight class to it like para, disabling: Giga bleeds, acro specializes on brawling other big dinos solo, spino is the semi-aquatic adaptable jack of all trades and maip? Maip would be the pack hunter apex, making up for its lack of weight and size compared to the others with a bigger group size AND a pounce ability that ca potentially pounce to pin FAR LARGER dinosaurs like shants and maybe even camara: It's on the same tier by sheer numbers, instead of raw, individual power
okaayyy but like Carcharodontosaurus is my favorite IRL dinosaurrrrr I also dont play the Isle but I guess a better way to add Carcharodontosaurus would be to add more sauropod variation for example: having Amargasaurus / Nigersaurus at the bottom and Alamosaurus (my beloved) or Brachiosaurus at the top also i do like the idea of Carchar being a "jack of all trades" having the speed of the Allo, but not as fast having a bite force similar to the rex but obviously not as strong and being uh, whatever the hell Acro and giga have
I would add saurosuchus, while it certainly isnt in the same weight class as charchar, it would probably be the most unique large/medium carnivore in the game, it has practically unlimited possibilities for potential playstyles

Well if i were to add an apex with the big three its either Torosaurus or saurophaganax these two would be great editions to the roaster ones more adapted for bone breaking and can scratch other large tier carnivores and sauro can be a heavy hitter with huge amount of bleed damage and might pounce on stegosaurus or miasauria or i would just leave the big three and acro the way they are ,rex being the brawler,giga being the bleeder,spino being the drowner,and acro being the wrestler, we can only put carchar if half of the roaster are finally in the game polished and balanced ,lets hope update 8 comes around the corner.

Would prefer another abelisaur or a large raptor to more super-carnivores. Really though, they should make more use of the the tree climbing system they have. An anurognathid, drepanosaur, sharovipterygid, scansoriopterygid, or microraptor would be nice. And of course, anything to make the coast and oceans more lively is welcome.
I would add Saurophaganax that is a dino nobody has out and it got arms ect. It is also a apex carnivore that could rival giga and rex weighing in 6 to 9 tons
The only way carc could be different is if it was a flesh skimmer we it can take chunks of flesh off animals, and it could also have some swimming adaptations where it is faster than most in water, although I would much prefer Maip

Honestly? i still think carch should be added... but! Instead of making it, its own playable new mechanic and all. How about just have it be a reskin of giga and have it locked behind and achievement for growing a giga or wtvr? I think it would be and neat reward for the player for growing said dinosaur and it allows the devs to add more creature variety to the game without needing to put in as much work towards said creatures! like if they did go with this they would be able to cut down the roster and add some new species they couldn't before like Purussaurus, edmont, lambeo, geosternbergia, and ect under the terms of being reskin options for deino, shant, cory n ptera! edit: tho ofc if they were to do this they better save it for after the main roster is done xd
I agree with removing redundant dinosaurs from a game driven by diversity of class and abilities, but I don't think the inclusion of Charc would hurt anything either. Charcharodontosaurus would be basically just a faster Giga, he is lighter and smaller than Giga but bigger than Albertosaurus, where as Giga would be a Titan Hunter Charch would more than likely be a plains roamer. Most of the apexes it would have to contend with would be Rex and Giga, while having spaces to avoid Spino and Deino. My take on it would be, in order to keep Charch fresh without introducing basically Sub Giga or Sub Rex, give it a charge bite similar to Cera. Normal bites do normal damage and decent bleed, but charge bites can basically stack bleed and damage much faster. Instead of a loud snarling indicator, you'd get an open jaw display and low rumble. Could also give it an alt-mode like everyone else is gonna get, but instead of it transitioning to a challenging spar, I'd say it should transfer into an adrenaline based movement. You move faster but at a much higher cost, and whatever stamina you use in this adreno mode you take a little long to get back. It's sort of an investment, a trade off for either running down prey that's just outside your movement speed or for escaping something that's hot on your butt, at the cost of you are far more vulnerable when you are done with it. IDK, maybe I'm just biased towards Charch and want him to get a little more love, I know he's not gonna be a well fitting archetype in the set of "The big 3" but honestly I don't think he needs to be in that group. He just needs to be a fun experience, which in all honesty most if not all Dinosaurs have fallen into this category already in Evrima. All the big Dinosaurus are vulnerable until they hit 50-75% than you feel like you could take on the world. Other dinosaurs are fun for mobility, moving around the map at blistering speeds, some have fun mechanics like Teno, Dilo, Herrera, Beipi, Troodon, Galli, Ptera, and Hypsi. And every other Dinosaur (except Dryo til he gets his burrowing mechanics) has a unique sort of mechanic and playstyle that makes them worth the hours you waste on this game. So that being said, I don't think it will be too much different with Charch, he'll sort of fall into his own Niche like Acro and Alberto will.
1:02 I actually disagree with this because we have protoceratops when avaceratops is right there ava can still use burrows its just a better proto and styracosaurus there's nothing that its going to do differently only that it just has one horn it's still gonna do bleed
The only way i see Carcharo work in the game is as a variant for the giga, with different stats, model and some new abilities, a system like this would be cool to have, but that should not be thing to focus, the other playables should be focused instead. My replacement carnivore would be Yangchuanosaurus, but if i had to add a total new dinosaur would be Gigantoraptor.
Semi-Aquatic Carcha is actually pretty cool though.It’s going to be another “beipiao-fied” dinosaur. Considering that it lived and died in the same flood plain that Spinosaurus thrived back in the Cretaceous. That isn’t too far fetch from reality. Even the isotope analysis shows that at least some of Carcha’s diet were made of fish to some degree.
The only benefit I can see to Carcharadontosaurus being added is if Giganotosaurus is squarely centered in hunting only Sauropods and Acrocanthosaurus was a slow pursuit bleeder making Carcharadontosaurus the fastest apex bleeder in the roster. That being said, I would've liked a more interesting species in the game as apposed to Carcharadontosaurus.
