I just got a Diabolo.. I have had experience with them due to a circus workshop and others and this really helped me widen my variety of tricks! thankyou! :)
well the thing is, to do the elevator trick you need to have a fixed axel diabolo, this allows the diabolo to climb up the string, if you have a ball bearing diabolo it wont catch and will simply fall down the string
@DJTwistaProductions uh ok do you have a fixed axle or a one way ball bering becasue if you have a fixed its becasue the string gets caught on the axle its the same way the elevator works except its a negavtive but if you have a ball bering than it might just be the diabolo if faceing the right way wwell what kind of diabolo do you have
@lalalah147 whats happening when you try too accelerate is the string is getting caught on the axel caused by to much friction so try to gently whip it from side to side instead of whipping it real hard. also try different methods of acceleration the ones in this video are only a few theres alot of different techniques out there for non ball bearing diabolos
I got a Diablo today for an early Christmas present. I worked on it off an on for like about 5 hours, I can do almost all the tricks you showed but when I try the elevator thing I can't get it to not spin. Its frustrating!!
@Tahg Adler well it really doesnt metter to much when your six years old. but i recommend not getting a diabolo thats really heavy because they can become fatigued much easier and it will sort of suck the fun out for them.
Thanks for this :3 I recently got back in to doing this, and had forgotten some of the basic tricks, particularly Cats Cradle. Thanks for jogging the memory, you earned a like :3 Thanks again.
try going to ebay or amazon for the cheapest new diabolos if you dislike you own i suggest sundia I am a fan of all their models I dont use anything else but if you are a beginner and want to start out slow i would recommend any kind of diabolo made by henerys
it depends on what your preference is for beggingers the phenoix one is good but when you need more speedfor tricks the sundia triple bering is prime, its my personal favorite diabolo
@DJTwistaProductions oh ok well that will happen on all fixed diabolos but the quality of the diabolo matter buying a higher quality one will reduce the amount of times that will happen but to altogether avoid it try to not pull hard on the string when its wrapped around and dont aggresively verticaly or horizontaly acceleracte it and if your thinking about diabolos i can recomennd you some nice but cheqp diabolos
this is a common problem in diaboloing that i have run into many times. some good tricks that I still use today even though they arn't difficult are the wonder toss ( I have a video for that), orbits (around your arms or legs), or darkicide/overcatch ps. sorry if you don't reconize the tricks alot of tricks have many different names these tricks a good becasue they a smooth and can blend into the next trick that you do if you need me to make a video for a trick just comment i will gladly do it
im coming out with some new ones this week and the next Mine are prety good since i watch alot of videos and know about all the little kinks of a trick so yea but uh bboydiabolo has some pretty good ones And hey if you need help on a trick just tell me and i will post up a tutroial on how to do it
@Mrdodo588 i got mine at a local toy store its was pretty cheap only 20 dollars for all the sticks string and diabolo. It's a good begginner diabolo and it wont break but i dont recomend it for long be casue it is poor quality
