Thanks for this mare. I got your link of the reddit post I put on today. Some great advice here and taken it on board. I'm 50 and thought it was cancer as that's already taken most of my family and thought it was coming for me. I actually cried with relief but didn't realise how debilitating this illness actually is.
I just had the diagnosis and at the tail end of my first diverticulitis attack. Here is my story - I was doing full carnivore and everything was great. My downfall was adding wheat products and raw bell peppers with cherry tomatoes. Then boom diverticulitis. Am fully committed to staying fully carnivore and healthy. Oh the carnivore diet also reversed my type 2 diabetes.
I was diagnosed with this at 27 years old also, though I feel I’ve had it for many years before but was too embarrassed to go the doctor about “ bathroom “ issues. My Doctor told me it was likely hereditary because I was so young. My Mother thinks her Aunt had it, but of course they did not discuss these issues back then. About a year after my diagnosis i ended up with emergency surgery because of an abscess due to a ruptured diverticula , they cut out a portion of my intestines that was damaged. I was good for about 20 yrs but as the surgeon warned me, I could develop more pockets and I did. Now I am doing my best to avoid flare ups. I take Slippery Elm Bark capsules and Oregano Oil capsules and a liquid diet for 3 days when I feel a flare up coming on.
Thanks for stopping by John! Yes it's all about fibre and sticking to your routine. Consider subscribing I've got heaps more videos on it's way, cheers - Jon

Popcorn and certain nuts are actually great for your diverticulitis. They have so much fibre in them that they make your poops healthy. Healthy poops mean no flare ups. My doctor told me not to wprry about seeds and stuff. He said they cant effect your flare ups at all
