Great tutorial, one the best I've ever seen. The way you articulate the sequence of detail and reasoning is remarkable. You'd be surprised not many have that ability.
It worked! It was the wires under the driver side. I just lifted my seat higher and the light went off. The seat was too low and was choking one of the wires. You're awesome!
I fix my Chevy impala by taking it to my mechanic who diagnose it with his auto scanner tool . The scanner pinpointed the problem was the drivers side seat belt was bad. I bought a used seat belt at the junk yard for 50 dollars and mechanic charged me 45 dollars labor to put seat belt on. Service Air bag light disappeared automatically after used seat belt was replaced. A new seat belt would have cost me 114 dollars , so i decided since my car was up in mileage elected not to buy a new one. Hope this helps.
Would this be the same for an olds intrigue? My light just came on. My passenger seat however has no power or connectors. Would the module still be under it?
Wasn't paying attention one time, hooked my battery up backwards... not a good day lol. When the smoke started rolling I knew I'd done a no-no, but thankfully it didn't fry the computer or anything, but interestingly enough it fused the metal diaphragm inside the oil pressure sensor. setting the light off. It sucks when you get a part you didn't need, but at least you didn't put your battery in wrong! lol
Great explanation of how to diagnose this fault. I know it was just a missing fuse. How many times have I seen this! But who expects the fuse to be removed? DIY IDIOTS WITH NO KNOWLEDGE CHECKED FUSES AND REPLACED IN WRONG SLOT. Probably swapped fuse into cig lighter socket fuse after they blew fuse with a kettle plugged in or something. DIY customer Denies ever touching fuse box.👌
