Massive thank you for this video Omar, you saved me a lot of money, spent less than $1 on a fuse! The possible causes of this fault ranged from a faulty compressor to air leaks, to faulty struts. Anyone with this fault please watch this video FIRST and check out the fuse before spending money with a garage!
Happy to hear this was your issue. It’s always nerve racking when something goes wrong, but relieving when it’s something simple that can be fixed for cheap. Thanks for the comment 👍
Hello again, I can confirm that in my case it was also the maxi fuse in the trunk behind the cover. It blew when we went from cold, damp weather to sub-zero temperatures. The compressor sounded funny then too. Thanks again for the nice video!
Hello Omar, thank you for this Video. I had have the problem after buying the car. One week later I have had the same diagnose like you. Tomorrow I will buy a new fuse an change it. If I have another fault, I give you an Information of this. Greetings from eastern Germany, 😄👍
Thank you for a good explanation and where the fuse is. There is a reason why the fuse is blown, and as you mention if battery is getting old Voltage may drop and it will increase the amps to maintain the watt on the device. I believe this is the case with my Macan. Thank you.
Sometimes it’s the damn relay under the dash that fails open (ie with tigger voltage it clicks and doesn’t conduct). I had to replace both the PASM fuse and the relay (which requires removing 3 screws and pulling the leftmost vent before I can pull out lower dash to get to it).
