Works great! Had problems after install because of faulty new VCT solenoids, make sure to replace solenoids with quality units as well. Customer service is great.

Had a mechanic install this set and the VVT phaser on the drivers side went out after 2 months….I will be going with Ford Improved Version.

Have a 2007 ford f150 keeps giving me p0012 i have put in everything brand new cloyes and still is doing this problem any help please! Runs perfect till it warms up have changed oil as well As both vvt both phasers chains and all timing

When timing guides break and chain rubs inside the motor screens get clogged and blow out its best to change the motor or youll end up spending more money then its worth Because the oil passages in the head can get contaminated the p0012 is caused from i dont know what because i have replaced vvts twice and cam phasers twice high volume oil pump checked wiring and still had same problem even cleaned screen in vvt housing total loss so its a new motor time Any other thoughts from anyone else would be fine

I would assume that replacing the phaser for bank 1 and all the timing components including hydraulic tensioners would fix this problem. make sure your oil passages are clean and clear and not clogged up.Also make sure you have good oil pressure. do not go by the gauge on the dash. make sure you tap directly into the engine block to read pressure with the gauge.

I have a 2004 Ford Expedition 4.6 l with no check engine lights no knocking no hesitation no misfires. It starts up but slowly bogs out as if it's running out of gas I change the fuel pump and filter check alternator battery and ignition. I was told that it could be my timing belt or anything connected can you help?

Typically a timing issue will trigger a check engine light, and if it has jumped time the issue will be consistent.

Do you know if Cloyes sells private label? I bought the5.4 cam phasers & they came double boxed the inside box didn't fit in the outside box very well.

It should come in an outer Cloyes box and inner brown box. Both should be labeled VC100. The bolt should have a little note bagged inside referencing 90 foot lbs. instead of the factory spec.

Mine slightly ticks when it warms up It comes and goes sometimes you can barely hear it and sometimes you can really hear it only when it's warmed up. Cold start no sound at all, clean. Could that maybe be the exhaust manifold or intake?

Cracked exhaust manifold . As it warms the crack gets larger . mine does to but i dont think its bad to the engine . perhaps irritating

I have a 2000 ford v6 f150 and its been doing it awhile but no burnt valves i can still get 500 miles to a tank of gas with no oil burning . perhaps one day ill replace the exhaust manifolds to see

Mine has 230,000 but sometimes i wonder what its quiting point would be but as long as it drives im good with it .actually im quite pleased wirh all the miles it has plus its 5 speed standard .

big no no buying aftermarket internal parts......should only use OEM quality parts......those aftermarket junk parts will be toast in less than 10k miles.

If what you say is true, do you think that they would still be going strong in business, sometimes we try to save money and cut corners in repairs. For that matter even oem parts will not make up bad bad workmanship.

@@hectorgarcia8691 Ford has already improvised the cam phasers and they are tried and tested to make it 100k before changing out. I personally tried the Cloyes kit and it lasted 2 months before the drivers side phaser imploded.

Just put cloyes kit in my 5.4 3v, along woth new vct solenoids. ran GREAT! (For 20 miles, problem is back full swing) don't buy this junk kit. You'll be like me shopping for a new vehicle, while unemployed because of covid.

Have run my replacement Cloyes kit for 100,000+ miles and no issues. You should have had a mechanic install it.

I just bought Cloyes cam phasers and timing set. I think they sell private label because the box the cam phasers were in was double boxed, the box inside didn't fit very well in the Cloyes box.🤔 But I chose Cloyes over other brands because they have lifetime warranty.
