I found a video that addressed this. tie in the cranking and key on power together in one wire using a diode and it made a huge difference especially on starting. I am also running a in tank sending unit from Holley with a built in return line.

I ran a wire to the battery from a flip switch connected to the pink wire. It serves as a kill switch too

Holley techs told me to remove my sock off my pickup tube or remove the filter before the pump as it will cause starvation. The filter before the pump was for tanks without sock or screens on the pickup tubes. I'm running a 70 Rustang tank with stock sending unit. Mine also does that at times when mashing the throttle on the highway. It cleans itself out and then runs great. I'm still in the learning tuning phase.

I may remove the sock from the pickup, but I had it fall off once, and crud clogged my filter....so there needs to be one or the other before the pump....so I'll probably remove the sock so I don't have to build a new fuel line lol. I'm thinking of adding a sump to my tank also to help with starvation

I put a Painless Harness in mine and used the coil wire for the switched power and have had no problems

I put a sniper on my 1973 Charger running a cd box ignition. Stock Mopar wiring has an ignition 1 and ignition 2 circuit. I splice both of those wires together and now have no interruption between cranking and running and no dropped power. I have found no negatives for doing this.

@@MoonBuiltGarage I also spliced these on my 68 charger and I'm using them as a trigger for an extra 12v relay.. this relay now feeds direct battery voltage to the pink wire in the sniper harness.

that is a resistance circuit is why it wont work without putting them together. designed to not burn up coils. Gm does similar on there coil wires pre hei.

@@jeffreyrigged If you are running a stock Mopar ignition system that is true. If you are running an MSD system the resistance circuit is no longer in use, the ballast resister can be removed at that point. I completely removed the stock ecu when I changed over to a Mallory Hyfire ignition using a Mopar distributor. After I get the Holley Sniper dialed in I will be going the the Dual Sync Dist and let the Holley control the timing. I did run the spliced ig 1 qnd 2 to a relay as described above.

The stalling after throttled , your butterfly may require opening a little more and iac can't catch it in time , I also had lean my accelerated fuel back off too on my 360 .

Did you add a sump to your tank? My mechanic had me order one for the Sniper system he's installing in my car so that it would take care of that fuel starvation issue.
