Please follow the steps on Dialogflow Twilio open source integration video. Also, you need to ask your friends to join the twilio sandbox. You can find the instructions in your Twilio account.

You can use this on sandbox for free but if you want to launch your bot on What'sapp without sandbox then you need to pay Twilio. They charge $0.005 per message.

I tried integrating the external API (by writing fullfilment code in dialogflow's inline editor) with my WhatsApp but the problem is that the particular intent(whose fulfilment code is written in inline editor of dialogflow) wasn't getting any reply back on WhatsApp. However it was working fine in dialogflow test section. Please help
Template will already be created. After 24 hours you just need to send message using that template. Following is an example of template Your account has been credited with Rs. XXX Here XXX is template parameter. So after 24 hours you can send message like Your account has been credited with Rs. 5000. But you can't send any random marketing messages after 24 hours. Hope that clarifies the doubts.

Yes it is an official whatsapp chatbot solution provided by Whatsapp, however, you may want to look at open source Twilio Whatsapp integration as Dialogflow default Twilio integration may stop working after some time.

Whatsapp for business is currently in closed beta and haven't opened their APIs for everyone. Only a few big players like Twilio, Gupshup, etc have access to their APIs. That's why we need Twilio or any other third party to build a Whatsapp Chatbot. In the future when they open their APIs for everyone, then we can build a Whatsapp Chatbot integrated to Dialogflow without using Twilio or any other third party services.
That is something even we are trying to achieve, we haven't got our own whatsapp bot in production yet... we will create a video as soon as we get it approved by whatsapp.

Hi Shubham, it is difficult to tell without seeing the actual code. Please paste the fulfillment code here to help us understand what's going on. Apart from this, make sure you have billing account enabled, and also fulfillment option is enabled in the intent. Please try checking firebase console logs, that might help.
@@AxleWebTechnologies The chatbot is code is working fine in Dialogflow test window but when I connect it with my WhatsApp it doesn't work completely - i.e normal intents work but the intent for which fullfilment code is written doesn't give any response ☹️. I guess if there was any problem with fullfilment code it wouldn't even work in Dialogflow test window.
Hi, great tutorial. I have a similar issue as Shubham. I use functions for most intents that I have declared inline, and the first ones do work, while at some point I can see that the function is called, but then it seems to "switch" and respond with the response from the GUI.
@@AxleWebTechnologies Thanks, it is just that 1. I had inspected the logs and found the function returned 200 status code. 2. It works otherwise both in test console and google assistant.
Since this is on sandbox environment, you need to ask your customers to follow below steps 1. Save the number provided by Twilio 2. Send a short code on whatsapp to the above number After that customers can start talking to the chatbot. For production environment, you need to apply to facebook for approval. After that your customers can just immediately start talking to the bot by sending message to the approved number.
