Oh, I totally came for the spoilers, David! You made the review just enticing enough without divulging too much, as well as thoroughly entertaining. I was also thinking, "Those perfect circles look like little planets. Neil DeGrasse Tyson would approve!"
Boy, do I agree with you about the difficult shrink wrap. Last year, I was using nail clippers to claw at it. Very frustrating. But aside from that, it is a really fun way to play with ink! And I loved your "chromatography interlude!" The music got me feeling all Christmasy!
What a great way to review the inks with as few spoilers as possible - thank you! My calendar arrived last week and it’s going to be hard to wait until December!
Mine just arrived today!!! I am so excited!! Thanks so very much for the review….very helpful for me as is the first time i am going to have the pleasure of exploring the calendar and , specially, try the Diamine inks!! I can’t wait for Dec 1st!!
Great review! I was like ohhhhhhhhhh show me the entire 25 days =)). I Definitely going for this Inkvent this year too!! I feel the last year needed more red and the red on this one is gorgeous!!
Well done review. Excellent balance of giving information needed and keeping spoilers extremely limited. This was very helpful to me as I had never heard of inkvent.
Makes me wonder how much practical it is.. i might endup with tiny amount of ink in each bottle left over as i cant draw them.. with 23 of them, thats a lot of ink down the drain isn't it?
Advent starts 4 Sundays before Christmas, this year Advent starts on November 27th. We wait for the birth of Christ. Most commercial advent calendars start the first of December because then the box can have a set number of days. We call those calendars Decemberween calendars, instead! I will add 4 little samples to my husbands Inkvent calendar so it will last the whole season. I add extra Legos for my kids. 😊
It looks like everyone who didn't love last year's... admittedly kind of gothy inkvent will have plenty of gorgeous and festive options for card writing this year. I really loved last year's but I can't wait to get those reds.
@@snakkomsex I would be very surprised but the colors are now all for sale. Seize the night, a lovely, dark, almost neutral purple, is now my daily. My favorite sparkly is Storm, which is a thundery blue with almost opalescent shimmer to it. Neither says "Christmas" to me, particularly, but I sure get use out of them.
Ordering mine Friday, is currently being held for us at Truphae. Can not wait. I almost didn’t watch this video because I was nervous about spoilers, but I read a few of the comments that you leave enough meat on the bone that it can still be a surprise come December.
Thanks David. I agree with others that you reviewed with a good feel for the inks without giving too much away. In fact yours was the perfect review since I’ve determined now that I will pass this year. I got the 2021 red last year and absolutely enjoyed the inks and regularly use them in my pen rotation. But I’m worried that if I get another then too many inks will just stay in the cupboard unused. If you are an avid inkofile or you missed out for the last two, I highly recommend getting one.
I'm a terrible heathen and WILL open all parts in an advent calender in one go 😂 sometimes I have self control and don't do that and it is fun buuuuuttt..
Thank you David for a very well put together review, as usual. I'm not saying it is overpriced or anything, but it is still an investment, and I don't think I would use them much after the holidays, so personally it is a pass.
I would not categorize the sent as strong. I'm sure the strength can differ depending on your sense of smell, but it wasn't something I really noticed when opening up the bottle. I had to sniff it close to get the smell.
@@karidru5272 Me too. But I understand they need to try and find something different. I had a really bad reaction to Thunderbolt last Inkvent so sometimes it appears it can just be the additives.
