We take a look at the new innovative Diamond Edge SB-1 that offers a fully customized bow, adjustable from home, self tuning cams and limbs. Makes setting this bow up easy and effective. Bow draw weight is 7-70 lbs and draw length 15-30 inches making it extremely versatile for anyone!
I get nothing for this review and it was completely made to share with you, the end user, how simple it is to buy online and set up at home. I would recommend taking this to the archery shop if you do purchase online, just to ensure you are all squared away but nonetheless, its a great bow for a beginner or someone to looking to have a bow for a long time.
If you do purchase, please use this link as I think I might make about $1 for every purchase and every little bit helps! Thank you :)

Bought this bow, brother in-law dry fired it 😣and was set up as heavy as it can go. Brought it in and they said "looks good". Brought the weight down, put 15 arrows down without a problem, then brought it back to full, today with another 10 down range no problem. Very happy. Love that I can adjust so the wife can shoot it who is 5 foot 100 pounds soaking wet lol

I’ve been shooting mine for a couple years now. Only thing I changed is the rest. I went to a drop away. Be sure to keep an eye on all the screws. Even though I tightened the draw stop plate screws they still managed to work loose. Do yourself a favor and remove the screws one at a time and apply blue loctite to the screws.

Hi there my brother and sister of the diamond archery family. Ok I have had my diamond edge Sb1 since 2017. This was my first bow and I had never hunted with a bow before. I was a 7mm Rem man since I was 12 years old. And still am. But it sets at home with my brother in Oregon. I love mu bow and will never get rid of it. I just got a new 2020 carbon icon G2 RAK this January. Ok my edge sb1 has killed me 8 deer and 4 bears 5 pigs and 2 elk. Coyotes. Bobcat Turkey grouse and so on in California. I up graded my site my stabilizer and my quiver. This bow reminds me of a good old 3030 Winchester model 94 it is rugged and easy to shoot and carry. So when they say it for the new person to the bow game. Yes that's me. Good job bowtech. And it's Turkey season now so off we go. Happy trailer and God bless. Chrisbow in central California. D7

I have the Infinite Edge Pro from the first batch they made. It has the aluminum drawlength modules, not the current ones which are plastic. It looks like the SB-1 uses the same modules. I've got this thing shooting bullet-holes and sighted out to 60 yards. I also made new strings for it with premium 452x material and Halo serving. I shoot this bow more than my two Bowtech Destroyer 350s.

I Love mine, its smooth, light, shoots fast and accurate. Only downside is that maxed out it does want to take your shoulder off if you come out of the valley by accident. If you buy it from a shop they will usually install the peep sight for you, if you buy it online be realistic they can't tell where your eye is so it will be in a bag on the bow.

Yeah, I tested 6 different bows at Cabelas from Bear, PSE, Cabelas, Bowtech and the Edge 320 was the Corvette of the group. Very impressed with it! Thanks for the video! You sound like you did the right thing. No matter how much marketing, branding or influence is done on other hunters, some people feel comfortable in a Ford Taurus some feel comfortable in a foreign pick up truck. The same goes for archery and hunting equipment. Glad you took the time to shoot a few of them and found you liked and are comfortable with the choice you made. Good luck out there this year!!

ive never shot a bow before. after spending about 45 mins making sure everything was set properly. I was hitting the bullseye at 10 and 20 yards almost every time. I even split the nock on my first arrow shot at 20 yards with the second shot which btw, was a bullseye. I didn't shoot at 30 yards yet, my arms were very tired and ill try 30 and 40 yards next weekend. I dont know my draw weight. i know the bow has 10 marks on the EZ limb system, I'm on the 9th dot so I'm close to maxing it out. This bow rocks. negatives. the sight was a huge pain in the ass to get sighted in. i would recommend getting a better sight. the EZ adjust sticker fell off of one of my limbs so i tore off the other. i just use the dots on the sides of the limbs

Guro Jerome Teague1 second ago It was a great bow for me for about 5 months. Cam rivet busted while I was on the 3rd target of a 3D archery course. I went to my bow shop and they swapped me out for another. We tried to get it tuned up for my draw length and weight. It would not hold weight. We tried another bow. We checked the draw weight and it was at 69lbs. We changed it to my 29.5 draw length and we lost 5lbs of draw weight. We swapped it out again and had it good enough that I could return to day 2 of the course. Shot fine. Probably about 100 arrows through it. I went back to the range yesterday. I was shooting at 20 yards. Got 3 arrows out and then I shot one that flew 4 feet above the target. I nocked another and on draw, I heard a cracking sound around about the time I hit the let off. As I was letting the bow down, the string was stuck, but it eventually let up so I could let it down. In summary I have had an SB1 for under 8 months and I have gone through 4 bows. I will never buy one of these again. I am not sure if the issue is that even though Diamond sells these to max at 30" at 70lbs, I wonder if the materials don't really stand up to those stresses. Diamond has had some really creative excuses. They told my bowtech that they may be bad limbs as that has happened before. They also said their bows are rated to +/- 3lbs of the advertised draw weight.
@TopPinOutdoors
@TopPinOutdoors 5 лет назад
That's unfortunate and sounds like a heck of a time. I had a similar experience with a different brand. I also own two of those bows and one was great never had an issue the other was back and forth to the shop. Sometimes we get bad eggs, usually it happens with me and my vehicles though. Hope you find one you like and it works for you. Trips to the bow shop are supposed to be exciting not depressing!

One last question: My draw length is only 26 inches, according to measurement diagnosis, according to Sean my arrow speed would be 269 ft/sec on a Diamond SB-1. How much arrow speed is required to take a deer? I am 6 ft, I must have short arms. Go figure. Thanks

Sorry for the delayed response. Yes as mentioned in the video I think it's a great bow to start out with. Here's why. You can grow into so you can start your draw weight and length at whatever is comfortable. It comes fully set up so you don't have to purchase the bow, then buy all the accessories afterwards. It doesnt break the bank. That's pretty important when starting out because you aren't sure if you want to stick with it or not. This bow should be a great bow for you to get started with in my opinion.

I have a question they always say you need a bow press to install the peep sight. How do you put the peep in if you don’t have a press?
@TopPinOutdoors
@TopPinOutdoors 4 года назад
You can use a screw driver in the cam, however I would highly recommend going to someone who understands this and has experience with it. The idea of "Not having to go to the pro shop" ultimately is if you have to make changes or want to increase or decrease your draw weight and length. I will always still recommend the first time you get ANY bow you bring it to a pro to set you up. Hope that helps

@TopPinOutdoors 7 лет назад
I think that's really up to your budget and what you are looking for. Your best bet would be to check out pricing or take your bow to the proshop so they know your length and draw weight and have them cut you some arrows. I personally switched to Easton full metal jacket this year. love the arrows but the fletchings don't stay on them well that's the only drawback I have of them.
@MethosOhio

I bought this bow and it was not ready to use out of the box. The rear peep sight was not installed. Further more there was no mention of it in the direction or on the www.adjustmybow.com website. It was in an little unlabeled baggy in the box. I thought it was extra O-ring for some part of the cam system because I had never used a compound bow. I have it installed now, but I understand this is something a pro-shop would normally do for you if it wasn't bought online. Don't think you can buy this online, take it out of the box and shoot it with any accuracy, because that is not the case. You either have to take it to a shop, or buy some other parts and tools to install the sight yourself.
@TopPinOutdoors
@TopPinOutdoors 7 лет назад
I will say that was a tricky thing for me too...as you can tell I didn't have the peep on my bow either. If you are unfamiliar with how to put that on, it may be tricky. Their website didn't explain how to do it? That would be something they should look into if they didn't explain that correctly. I would have taken the time to look up RU-vid videos on how to, but none the less should be something available for you to out of the box.
@MethosOhio
@MethosOhio 7 лет назад
My problem was that I didn't know the peep sight was something that was supposed to be there having never used a compound bow before. None of the setup video for the bow mention it even in passing. All I knew was a couldn't hit anything. Later I found out that it was because half my sighting system wasn't installed. Once I knew that I bought a bow press, string spreader, and serving thread, watched some youtube videos, and got it installed. It was a week later before my bow was truly ready to shoot. It is really quite amazing. Diamond managed to do an entire video of on sighting in the bow, without mentioning the words "rear sight", or "peep sight", or even qualifying the front sight as "front" to give you hint there might be another kind. They also don't mention you can flip apex front sight bracket upside down to give you extra adjustment range if you aren't using a high draw weight.
@MethosOhio
@MethosOhio 7 лет назад
It is a great bow, and I love it now. Just don't expect to be able to shoot it out of the box if you mail order it and don't have bow tools and supplies already. Also, just to be clear, I didn't buy it based on your video. I found it this video later on. So I'm not blaming you, just disputing the claim that it is ready to use for others benefit.
@OzStazaw
@OzStazaw 6 лет назад
MethosOhio you can find plenty of videos on how to tie in a peep sight it's not difficult. It's sounds hard but the concept is easy and actually doing it is very simple. I've done it a few times I'm by no means a pro when it comes to archery I've been a gun hunter most of my life hunting. I just found a quick RU-vid video and that was that. Arrows are fit to your bow. Many times if you don't change your draw weight or draw length, you should be ok to be able to use the same arrows yes! Just double check the spine chart for your arrow to ensure you are shooting the proper arrow for your set up. www.goldtip.com/Resources/Spine-Chart.aspx

@TopPinOutdoors
@TopPinOutdoors 5 лет назад
@@danieleyles6934 Take a look at that this: www.huntersfriend.com/carbon-arrow-spine-charts-sizing-deflection-research.html If that is too difficult to understand (which I'm sure it could be even people who have been shooting for years have a hard time understanding these) my best recommendation would be to head to your local proshop. The information would be free from them and trusted, quality pro-shops will help you out no problem! You need to know the length of your arrows, the draw weight of your bow and then collectively you can use that chart to find out what "spine" you should be shooting. If the XX75 1616 are the correct spine, you should be fine!

I definitely didn't get paid but you're right it's more of an overview. And you don't need to have a peep to realize it's accurate. Taking the time out of your day to leave this negative comment I feel sorry for you because if you look at any and all of my reviews you'll see none of them are paid for. I wish. If I got paid for this I wouldn't be able to leave the comments I had below, like, I would rather shoot a Mathews or I was shooting an Xpedition for the past two years. I will agree with you overview vs review, I think moving forward I'll take that into consideration. But I did this to try to help people out, I would appreciate not coming at me like I am a bad guy or something that we actually both don't like. Thanks for stopping by but please reconsider who I may be and what you may think of me is all.
