I saw this doc when it came out, still remains one of my favourite documentaries ever. Viv was a genius.

My recent landlady was Viv's wife, Monica. Very nice lady... but she had despaired of Viv!

It certainly is - what a great band they assembled for Viv here (inc. Rodney Slater on saxes and clarinet).

Viv doing his thang...sorry he left this mortal coil in his mid years...the lad is my patron saint!

I just love this whole set, but it's not always easy to watch, knowing how Viv is no longer with us (and how his various problems often got in the way of his great talent). To think he would... no, SHOULD, have turned 70 next year (2013)...

ha ha, well your certainly with it, that's the stuff!

Why was this not number one ,no wonder Mark E Smith has a gripe Yarbles,hit the commercial big wigs with a 2x4,might save our nations saving grace.

We can all be a little bit Viv. Just get used to raised eyebrows and remember that you're not the only one. Shirts are still necessary. X
