A sight is a great swap out. That would be my fist upgrade as well then a drop away rest of some kind. But otherwise shooting 30 yards or so with the kit stuff is still good enough.
Quite a nice bow for the price. They've put together a great package. When we get some better here I'll put together another video with some shooting and thoughts after using it for a while.
Love this bow but when u buy it throw the sights in the trash the whisker bisquet is OK but sights blow big ones if got a single pin drive slide by trophy ridge an wow what a bow
I 100% agree with you the sights are good while you're learning but after you get the hang of things you really want to upgrade. If hunter was legal here in Poland I would have upgraded it straight away. For now I'm just shooting it as a hobby bow as something to do in my spare time. Good choice of sight you chose though!
So far it has been great, I've shot maybe 300 arrows out of it without the slightest issue. It shoots quite smooth for an entry level bow. I've got it set at about 55lbs with 28" draw. Though I haven't had a chance to shoot it out more than 20m. Now that spring is on the way I'm hoping to get 20m, 30m and 40m pins. I put a 3/16 peep in (video in shorts) and that works really well with the sight ring. If I was to upgrade anything it would do the sight first then maybe swap out the whisker biscuit. But you could shoot fine with the ones on here for years.
If you grab one get them to put the peep in for you! If you place an online order mention it in the comments. Save yourself some time and effort if you don't have the tools! I had to buy a peep tool and some serving to put it in which set me back a few weeks (shipping is super slow at the moment) All my archery gear is back in Australia. Starting fresh over here in the EU is a bit of a process. Other than that the bow is great for the price. Can't say anything bad about it yet. If it's anything like my previous Diamond Edge I think its going to be fantastic.
Now that you’ve had it for a year what’s your opinion on the bow and how does the wall feel is it spongy or is it solid. Is there anything you don’t like about the bow that you wish you could change or is there another bow you wish you had brought
Still very very happy with it. But for longer range shooting i would swap out the sight and rest for a 5 pin of metal construction and a drop away of some kind. But as for the core bow it's still extremely good for the price. I only shoot it at 60lbs as well which is plenty. So there's still 10lbs left in the bag if I ever need it. So far the draw is still smooth and firm and the string is holding up well. Even my self installed peep is still working perfectly. Which surprised me a little as it was the first time I ever installed one. Usually I get a pro shop to do it.
@@ProcrastinatingWoodsman i guess above 40 yards would have been the arrow weight coming into effect but when i got it the cams were not set up correctly and the twining that wraps the bowstring (the part that goes into the cam) is coming apart already.
@@alexcottrell5876 interesting. Mines been perfect since day one. Though I haven't shot outside 40 yards yet. Though I find anything outside of that is outside decent hunting ranges anyway. At least for the average person. What did you end up up grading to?
There is a little bracket that comes with it. Just screw this onto the sight (the end closed to you when your holding it in a shooting position) Then the quiver just slips into it and locks in with a little leaver. If you get really stuck I can make a quick video if you like.
Yeah 100% at least when I bought it. I'm not sure what the prices are like now with all the inflation though. There may be better alternatives around from a price stand point.
