This was the first performance I saw from Diana and since I saw it about a year ago I have been totally hooked on her singing. She has a completely remarkable singing instrument, but her appeal is so much more than that. She is incredibly gifted not only in voice, but in her natural passion and disposition as an artist. The more you watch her perform, even at a young(er) age, such as in her famous "You are Super" performances, you can see that there is something uniquely special to her and the talent she was given. Her life experiences. depth of character she exhibits, her dedication and passion to her craft and that vocal instrument that is one in 8 billion. You can observe that she enters a sort of trans-like state when she performs, she is something special. BTW good job on doing some research before you watched. Wonderful reaction! This performance was from a Russian show that aired in the fall of 2021, and ran for 9 weeks. There were 9 singers who were also the judges and critiqued each other. There were 9 genres of music they had to perform over the course of the show. Thus Diana sang in many different styles. Another song to listen to: The song is Bopoha (Varona) - The Crow, and is from the same show she was participating in. It is in the category "Pop Hit". Diana can go super high and she can go super low as for complex runs, I do not think that you can find a singer that can do more complex runs than her, you will see her do staff with her voice that you have never thought that they would be possible I guarantee you that because there is only one polyphonic Dramatic Contralto in this world and that is her. As for power she has one of if not the most powerful female voice in the world, you will see and hear everything the more you stick with her. On this piece she did not go safe at all, she scaled 3 octaves starting from a crazy C3 all the way up to a Bb5 and she belted a powerful polyphonic f4 on chest, this song is a clear show of vocal superiority to her opponents that are also her judges, i think they got the message clearly since she did won that round and she went on to win this whole competition as well although beigh by far the youngest and less known of the contestants. Wicked game is an excellent choice but to tell you the truth with Diana there is no bad choice really, just click one of the videos that has her name on it and prepare for a trip.

Hi, Diana does have some connections. But she mostly succeeds on the basis of her own work. Her supporters do help her. Their efforts can't be denied. But, she has earned their support. Diana's album was crowd funded. It only exists because the poet, Maria Tarasenko came from nowhere and simply gave the songs to Diana. Maria didn't ask for anything in return. Who does that? As a seventeen year old girl , of ordinary means, Diana didn't have the funds to produce an album. So, she asked for help. Her request was met by contributions totalling almost 2.5 times the amount needed. Some six months later the album achieved gold record status.

Just a quick comment. All the judges that are giving their comments on Diana's performance are themselves contestants on this vocal competition. They all realize they have to compete against Diana. The judges are also contestants. They all sing and get judged by each other. It for a Russian charity. As far as this being her best it’s not. I’ve come to appreciate and love most of her music. You really should start from the beginning with her. There are videos of her from her childhood but at least her 13 year old time on the Russian version of the Voice she sings yodel, then wicked game, and so on. The judges were referring to VR in regard to her not needing it because she has perfect pitch and a polyphonic voice. She’s only 18 here and still in college so her music career is not fully developed yet. She’s 20 now and has started recording professionally.

The arrangement for the song was actually by the American composer/producer Tommee Profitt, which he made about five years ago. This performance was from September 2021 when Diana was 18 years old - she is now 20 (will turn 21 on 31st May). As for the show itself "ShowMaskGoOn", it wasn't a talent competition, more of a singing show - the people in the stands (apart from the first to speak, Yusif Eyvazov, who was a one time guest) were also singing on the show. There were nine established singers in all, who each sang one song per week, over the nine week run of the show - they then critiqued and marked each other. The singers were required to sing in various genres, to take them out of their comfort zone. When Diana wasn't singing, she sat in the stands with the others. The mentions of VR technology relates to it's use during some of the songs (not this one) - it was used for two of the songs each week. Мужчина, который встает на верхнем ряду - оперный певец. Он то уж точно может оценить способности Дианы. Мне кажется, что он волновался, потому что вокализ был в достаточно высокой тональности, при этом достаточно сильной подачей. Т.е. в случае Дианы скорей удивляло, когда она поет в верхних регистрах.
