Camilla is very condescending in this scene. She criticizes Diana for "not noticing things" about Charles, as if it was here job to do that kind of homework, because God forbid Charles would express his preferences and desires openly towards his fiancée.
@@brendabertsch9352Helpful would’ve been staying far away from Diana. Camilla was only jealous, controlling, manipulative, condescending and spiteful, all with a fake and pretentious attitude here. It’s truly an immature, ignorant and evil game she’s playing here. Few people are that sick and brutal.
Because Crown is trying to make her seem more likeable and make it look like Diana is not the smarter one(the kind of faces the actor playing Diana makes, Princess D was never seen making such kinds of obnoxious expressions😌), but even that attempt fails. Ms Camilla is distinctly manipulative even when a series tries to give her some semblance of plausible likeability.. :(
@@odysseusrex5908 it’s an opinion honey, not a fact. and you’re just proving that beauty standards are real. i guess we’re only worse something if we’re pretty and have money. pathetic. and that facts are opinions now too.
This scene put me off. I’m sure from her perspective in this scene Camilla thinks she’s being helpful, and possibly trying to take Diana under her wing in some respects (mistresses and wives sometimes have at least come to an understanding in history previously), but it’s so easy to see that Diana feels she’s being condescended to here. Obviously this is all fiction and likely didn’t happen as portrayed but I think it shows the frustration and how not every person in this triad had the same feelings going into it.
Truth: Charles wanted Camilla's approval of Diana. Diana was 19 years old, a virgin and completely blindsided by their affair. She wanted to call the whole thing off, but succumbed to the pressure. I am sure 1000% that she was sweet as saccharine to Diana but let her know that she and Charles were Fred and Gladys and always would be. She is a cow. You can read Morton's book. It is all in there.
Camila's great-grand mother Alice Kepple was mistress of charles's great-great grandfather King Edward VII and Camila's great-grand mother Alice had friendly relationship with King Edward VII's wife Queen Alexandra
there's a transition. At the start she's trying to suppress her jealousy of Diana and be helpful to an only 19 year old, but she's also genuinely surprised at how little she and Charles know each other. Sometimes when you know someone or something so well you don't realise that you've acquired that knowledge organically over many years. But she does make a few digs as well. Then when Diana tries to establish her turf via decorating the house Camilla gets jealous and starts probing for the huge differences between the two and establishing where she stands. Very good acting and writing
Same case with Josh'O Connor portraying Charles on this series. Emerald Fennell was just to good looking for had portrayed Camilla when she was more younger. I bet that even Camilla herself would had wished to look like her back in those old days.
its funny i was watching back to the future II when they went into 2015 and the USA paper says queen di visits Washington that sure as hell didn't happen🤣😪
Definitely not…her and Charles are as pretentious as you can get. That stunts one’s personality and life. At least Diana lived life when she was alive.
@@Rat_Queen86it’s not about popularity it’s about the title. She is queen far more superior than a simple princess . She accomplished Diana real goal real dream( plus fun fact camila never wanted to be queen or princess instead of Diana )
She loves the Going Dutch idea. Because she knows that if they share Prince Charles, that she's ultimately going to win. Defending her own territory, huh?? Fierce!
